You will travel in a private vehicle for yourself and your companions and pick you up at the lobby of your accommodation. You will have 6 hours of free time so you can enjoy all the attractions of tolantongo grottoes your way and without any hurry. Transfers from the Pools to the Grotto are included so you won’t have to walk to get from place to place or pay for another shuttle service. Our drivers are knowledgeable about the destination so they can give you some recommendations during the trip so you can enjoy the most of this experience.

What To Expect
We will pick you up in the lobby of your accommodation at 5:00 a.m. in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Once with you, we will start our journey to Tolantongo Grottoes. The journey takes about 4 hours, so we will make a stop so you can buy water, snacks or go to the bathroom. We will arrive in Tolantongo around 9:00 a.m., where you must buy your access tickets. From that moment on, you will have 6 hours of free time to enjoy at your own pace the majestic hot springs, the river, the grotto and the pools. Our driver will meet you in the parking lot or at an agreed point and will be able to take you to the different areas when you need it. The return time to Mexico City is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. and we will be arriving at your hotel around 7:00 p.m., depending on traffic.

5.00The whole experience was great. We’re not tour people but needed a way to get to Tolantongo for the day. The car was comfortable and our driver, Alejandro, was extremely kind and reliable. He was there to help if we needed him but otherwise we were able to enjoy a nice day at the hot springs.

5.00We hired a private car for our Viator tour, and Carlos was fantastic. He communicated clearly, explained everything at each stop, and was extremely patient while we took our time. He even took a shortcut that got us to and from Grutas Tolantongo Hot Springs faster than expected. One of the biggest perks of the private car is that you can go directly into the park without waiting for the tram to move between areas. It made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this private car service and especially Carlos—excellent service from start to finish.

The trip itself was incredible, and the place is simply breathtaking. This is an absolute must‑see when visiting Mexico. Highly recommended!
