Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high.
Dambulla Cave Temple
Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 kilometres east of Colombo and 72 kilometres north of Kandy. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.

5.00This turned out, after starting pretty nonchalantly, to be a most amazing and epic journey. The high point was our jeep safari in Hurulu, where we encountered a small elephant herd, with a tusker at very close range. The drive-thru through the thickets was amazingly panoramic, and indeed, most adventurous. Then, we visited Dumballa - the rock-cut cave architecture and the Sigirya Rock Fortress are singular attractions par excellence. Amazing, one-of-a-kind sites to visit.

1.00Sorry to say but it was extremely horrible. First of all, your company have forgotten to mention that there is a huge scam group in SriKanka who actively works in taking their customers to 'Gem factory/museum'. Drivers get commission everytime they manage to take anyone into their estqbliahment. Secondly, for seeing 4 elephants no one should pay 44000 rupees. At best, 300 rupees is enough. 4x4 jeep driver also seemed a bit drunk at work. I should have sued you but then I though why even waste energy and time into this.
