This private tour is with English-speaking driver. You will visit each temple on your own, while the driver is waiting at one of its car parks.

Highlights of the so-called "Small Tour" are Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Angkor Thom. We hope to make a difference by modifying the Small Tour standard itinerary in 2 ways: Firstly, you will visit Angkor Wat twice, 2 hours at the beginning and another 30 minutes at the very end of the tour, allowing you to see both sides of the complex in best sunshine. Secondly, you will visit two "hidden gems" additionally, one of them being a picture-book "lost temple in the jungle".

Lunch-break will be at the reservoir called Srah Srang, where several good restaurants are available. Alternatively, the driver can drop you to another location, provided you agree to pay him for the extra kilometers.

Each temple can only be visited with an Angkor Ticket, which is NOT included in the tour costs: 1 day: 37.-US$ per person. Most guests prefer multi-day tickets.

What To Expect

Angkor Wat

Our driver will first drive to the less frequented East Gate of Angkor Wat, entering from here, you will see Angkor Wat in the best morning light. Don't worry, you will see it from the much more famous West Gate, too, but at the end of the tour, when there is time for a second, shorter visit of the world's largest temple building.

Prasat Kravan

The second stop is at the small temple of Prasat Kravan, which consists of five towers in one line. Prasat Kravan is most remarkable for brick carvings, which are large in size. All other carvings in Angkor are made of sandstone, not brick.

Pin was a very friendly driver who allowed me to proceed at my own pace. Although not allowed to accompany me on to the temple sites, he was very knowledgeable. Trip was worth twice the price.

The tour was very nice and I skipped a few temples on my own, it was nice to only see what I wanted to see but the whole tour was very good. The Tuk Tuk driver Mr Sina was nice and provided cold water along the way.

I had a fantastic experience with my tour guide Vannak and our Tuk Tuk driver Kim. It was a perfect pace to see some of the most amazing temples in the world. Mr. Vannak was incredibly knowledgeable and provided plenty of additional information about the country, the history, and the people who still live near and around the temples.
