Lake Badi
Lake Badi is an artificial freshwater lake located about 12 km from Udaipur in Rajasthan. It was constructed by Maharana Raj Singh I in the village of Badi to mitigate the impact of a severe famine. The lake was originally named Jiyan Sagar in honor of his mother, Jana Devi.

5.00It was a tour of a small rural village in Udaipur. Very authentic and breathed a lot of peace. Salim is a very nice person who cares to make you feel comfortable during the tour, as well as explaining things about the village and India in general. The duration of the tour is fine and overall is a recommended experience.

5.00We absolutely loved our day with Salim who showed us real village life, helped us to talk to people and he also took us into the mountains and some less visited spots around Udaipur. It was really really great, very beautiful and fascinating. Salim also filled us in about so much about life in India. He was fabulous company and we are very grateful.

5.00I've been to India numerous times as a photographer and I can honestly say that this is by far the greatest tour I have taken. I almost never take tours as a rule, except for Food, but I was drawn to the chance to get out of the city and into the villages. I'm so glad I did. Salim is an unforgettable guide; honest, genuine, knowledgeable and, above all, friendly with a ready smile and a great sense of humour. He did my airport runs and took me out the night before as an extra and I enjoyed every minute of his company. Don't hesitate. Give him a call, you won't be disappointed....

5.00Salim was a very helpful and courteous driver who took me to the most beautiful scenic view points followed by an informative tour of a local Village. It was such an interesting and worthwhile visit to see local houses , children and farming I was welcomed by all. I felt safe the whole time, this is a must see if you visit this area… and Salim will look after you.

A great day in Udapuir

5.00After reading the reviews we decided this would be a great way to spend a day in the villages outside Udapuir. Salim was a perfect choice and his car very comfortable. His son Sadiq took us to the airport this morning to continue our tour of India. Thank you both,we loved meeting the children and their mothers. They seemed to enjoy having their photos taken so I will share some here.

5.00Unfortunately we had to cancel the tour at short notice due to illness. Salim responded very friendly and because you couldn't get a refund at Tripadvisor, he instead offered us the transfer two days later to the airport for free. He didn't have to do that and that was very fair and friendly. That day his son Sajid drove. He was very punctual and friendly, the car very comfortable and clean.

5.00Salim took us for 2 days through the most interesting parts of Udaipur. He told us many things about the history of Udaipur and its Maharanas and did so with exquisite knowledge. He discovered places not accessible to tourists like the Maharanas cemetery and recommended us some guy to eat that was perfect. Salim was super friendly and close and made us really enjoy the visit I recommend it 100% Thank you so much for everything Salim
