This activity is unique because it is a private shore dive just for you and your companions. At our dive center in Jan Thiel, the instructor guides you step by step and stays close at all times to make sure you feel safe and relaxed. You will assemble your own dive set and learn the essential dive signals before entering the water, so you know exactly how everything works.
From the shore, we explore the calm, clear waters of Tugboat or Caracas Bay. You will see colorful coral, tropical fish, and other fascinating marine life. Perhaps you will even spot a sea turtle during your dive at Caracas Bay, all at your own pace. Because it’s only your group, there are no strangers and all our attention is on you.
We make sure your first dive is calm, safe, and fun. The instructor is with you the whole time, helping you enjoy every moment, feel completely at ease, and discover the underwater world of Curaçao in a way you will always remember, surrounded by calm and clear waters.

All dives are shore-based in calm, shallow waters under the close supervision of a professional instructor.

What To Expect
Experience a private introductory dive at our dive center in Jan Thiel, either at Tugboat or the calm Caracas Bay. The dive is a shore dive, with a maximum depth of twelve meters, lasting about 30 to 60 minutes in warm, clear water following international safety standards. Before the dive, complete the mandatory medical health declaration via the Divessi website or app. This ensures a safe and relaxed experience. At the dive center, equipment is prepared together and explained step by step. You will assemble your own dive set under the instructor’s guidance and learn key dive signals and exercises for safe underwater communication. From the shore, practice breathing and basic skills in shallow water. Only continue deeper when comfortable. Enjoy a relaxed dive along the reef with your instructor staying close at all times. All dives are in small private groups, exclusively with your companions, so all attention is on you. Bring swimwear and a towel, and enjoy a memorable first dive experience.

They take time for you, explain everything clearly and calmly and make you feel completely at ease – whether you are a beginner or already have experience. The equipment is well maintained and of high quality, which gives immediate confidence. Safety is clearly paramount, but always in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. No rush, no stress – just enjoy. You can see from everything that they have a passion for diving and for their guests. It felt personal and warm, not massive or commercial. Really a top team! For us totally recommended

5.00Our first time diving was a top experience! We both found it exciting but Angelique took the time to explain everything well and put us at ease. Because we had booked a private dive she had personal attention for us and took our individual boundaries into account. Very fun and educational to assemble your own diving equipment so you know how everything works in advance. Then we discovered the beautiful underwater world at Caracas Bay! 😍 All in all a great experience and if we are ever on Curaçao again we will definitely be back!
