We arrive at Wilsons Promontory and begin our first hike of the day, a scenic coastal walk from Tidal River to Pillar Point. Following the river’s edge, the track winds through beautiful bushland before opening up to panoramic 360° views over the bays and beaches of the Prom.
After the dunes, we take a short drive to the general store for lunch before our main hike for the day, Mt Oberon. We embark on a 7.8 km return hike to the famous Mt Oberon's summit to soak up the best coastal views in Victoria.
Our next stop is one of our favourites, Squeaky Beach. Here you can wander on the incredibly white rounded grains of quartz which make a squeaking sound giving this popular local beach its name.
Finally, we make one final stop to see our furry native friends, including Wombats, Emus, Kangaroos and Wallabies going about their daily business, a beautiful way to end the day.

A stunning day out at Wilson’s Prom

5.00Pat was a brilliant guide for the day keeping us well informed on interesting facts about the Prom and wider Victoria on the drive (stopping in a a delightful bankers to pic up lunch!) before taking us to Big Drift, up Mt. Bishop, into Tidal River and over to Squeaky Beach (where we had a sip in the sea) before rounding out our time in the Prom on a nature walk spotting local wildlife. The day started with pick up at 7.30am from the Melbourne meeting point and returned us for 7.30pm - a full day and with the offering of tailored options as to where we most wanted to spend our time throughout our day.

5.0010 out of 10 experience! We saw kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and the most beautiful vistas on this wonderful planet. I loved the small and intimate size of our exploring party, the people were cool, our guide Shane was great and overall, it was way better than I expected. Worth every penny — and to be honest, I would’ve paid more considering everything we got to experience.
