McLaren Vale or Adelaide Hills chauffeured small group wine tours designed to suit you. This is a boutique service catering for small groups of up to 4 people (known to each other). Nominate your own itinerary or let us create one for you. Hosted by local owner/operator, Shane Buckley, the itinerary is flexible and can be changed on the day as we travel. Our intimate tours are a great way to celebrate that special occasion or to simply enjoy the best these magical Regions have to offer. Price is per person and covers a full day touring.

What To Expect
McLaren Vale Wine Region
The venues mentioned below are just an example of venues/tour itineraries available. This tour takes in the world renowned McLaren Vale wine region, widely regarded for its shiraz, grenache & cabernet sauvignon. Spanish and Italian varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo and Sangiovese are also very well suited due to the region's Mediterranean climate and provide wine lovers with yet another layer of discovery. You will get to experience these wines in world class cellar doors & tasting rooms.

Visit the wonder that is D'Arenberg Cube. Explore the Alternate Realities Museum and view the many art exhibitions on display. Then finish in the Tasting Room located on the top level with spectacular views over McLaren Vale, the Willunga Hills and the Gulf St. Vincent.

5.00We had two tours with Shane - one in Adelaide Hills and one in McLaren Vale. In both cases, Shane tailored the itinerary to our requests, suggested some good places to go and was very clear with all communication. We had a great time on both days - lots of good banter, friendly chat and lots of info about the areas and the wines and wineries. I'd happily do another tour with Shane.

From the beginning, he took the time to ask us in detail about what kind of wineries we wanted to visit, our wine preferences, and even what kind of lunch we were hoping for. Based on our answers, he carefully planned a tour that perfectly matched our expectations. You can really tell that he genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. He was also very kind and attentive throughout the day. For example, he helped us carry the wines we purchased, and even offered us umbrellas when it started raining. During the drive, he shared a lot of interesting information about wine, the McLaren Vale region, and South Australia in general, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We were very happy with his service and would highly recommend his winery tour to anyone visiting the area!

5.00With just a few days in SA doing a one day transfer /private tour to McLaren Vale with Shane ticked all the boxes for us and meant we could taste a few of the great wines available in the area without worrying about driving. Great communication and friendly conversation backed up by a thorough knowledge of the city, wine regions & wine making made it an easy and informative day out. The bonus was Shane’s suggestion to take the scenic routes through the hills & along the coast as well as his flexibility so that we could select where & what we wanted to do or add in his excellent suggestions. It was also super convenient to get picked up in the city with our bags and get dropped off at our next stop up the coast a little. Thanks Shane !

5.00The tour was great! The tour guide Shane planned everything very neatly, and he gave flexibility in the timeline so that we could enjoy our time at each stop without rushing anything. He was kind and tried to provide a lot of side information regarding the tour spots and the historical aspects behind them. We asked him if we could find some kangaroos, and he tried really hard to show them to us. Aside from that, he drove us back to our hotel alongside the shore area, which was really beautiful, and we greatly appreciated his efforts to provide most of the tour.

5.00I would highly recommend this service to anyone who is looking for a wine tour. Shane helped us create the perfect day in the Adelaide hills going to some amazing winery's and hidden gems. He was extremely knowledgeable and good conversationlist making our short drives between winery's very fun.
