This wine tasting tour is specifically for small groups (2 to 4 guests) so I am able to customize our itinerary according to your taste.

You will get authentic story telling from a true local.

There are over 100 wineries in the Cape Winelands and an infinite number of possible combinations for wine tasting tours. I will choose the combination that suits you best.

Should you wish to spend more time at a specific vineyard, explore the restaurant of your choice, or go shopping in Stellenbosch, anything is possible.

This tour is tailored to your preferences:

What To Expect

This wine tasting tour offers a truly exclusive and personalized experience. I will pick you up at your location and drive you in the comfort of a luxury Audi A5 through the scenic routes of the Cape Winelands off the beaten path to 3 wine farms for exceptional wine tastings. You will be able to taste some of the best South African wines from different ‘terroirs’ in 3 completely different ambiance & styles : traditional, modern/boutique, high end. I will explain what makes these wineries unique & I will give you the opportunity to discover the South African culinary scene. For early birds, we can start the day with a delicious breakfast before heading to your first wine tasting. If you are more of a late riser, we can dig straight into serious wine tasting & take a coffee break later in the day. I remain entirely flexible so you’re welcome to tell me your preferences - I will adapt to your needs. Should you feel like a picnic lunch in beautiful surroundings, shopping for souvenirs in Stellenbosch or a juicy steak, as a true local I know the best places where you will have the most memorable time. Please note lunch in not included - you will have to pay additional for your food.

Ru-an took us (a group of 3 friends) for one of the most unforgettable wine tours we’ve ever done. It was a full day tour and it was perfectly paced and personalized to our wine tastes and preferences. We had exceptional wine in very scenic commercial and boutique wine farms in Stellenbosch and Paarl, then ended the day with a bonus visit to Wijnhuis in Stellenbosch for sundowners. We had such a great time we engaged him again a few days later for a Cape Peninsula tour. The drive was breathtaking with beautiful mountain and ocean views. We also got to see penguins and have lunch at Cape Point Vineyards. Once again everything on the tour flowed effortlessly and we felt completely taken care of. The experiences were memorable and I would gladly book again without hesitation. Highly recommend!

This was our second wine tour with Ruan. He curated a perfect tour for us as we were keen to experience great wine accompanied with majestic views. He more than accomplished that for us as we visited 4 wineries from commercial wineries to boutique wineries. The views were simply awe inspiring. Lastly, we made a last stop in stellenbosch town at a fantastic wine bar. Highly recommend.

This is actually the second time that we are doing a wine tour with Ru-an. This time we did a customized tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Ru-an is very polite, on time and very easy to talk to. We felt like we were in very good hands and truly enjoyed the wine farms he picked out for us. He took care of all the reservations and we basically could just sit back and enjoy. We can for sure recommend him with our full heart. Had a lovely day visiting multiple wineries. I appreciated that Ru-an customized the tour to my tastes and we were able to still get in a nice variety. I highly recommend chatting with him ahead of time about your goals and what you like or don’t like - there are SO many options in the area. All in all, it was a lovely day and exactly what I wanted for my wine tour!

We had a great afternoon tasting wine at two of the historic vineyards in Constantia. Ru-an organised this for us at short notice and all worked out well. It's a great trip for half a day if you are short on time or having to take a trip with kids. He is a great guy and good company. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again. Thanks again.
