As you pedal through vibrant, lush woodlands and alongside fields, be prepared to soak in a feast for the senses—breathe in the fragrant flora and foliage all around you. This is a great option for off-road gravel path riding. You will thoroughly enjoy this tour for the peacefulness and calmness of the outdoors. The route alternates between wooded areas and large wetland clearings, with ample opportunities for viewing wildlife and colorful fall foliage! Come and join us as we discover the wooded trails and nature area by bicycle. Your tour guide will lead you on your rail trail journey. On this family-friendly tour, you will be able to ride freely and enjoy the outdoors while taking in nature, the scenery, and the fresh air! Two to six riders. 6-8+ Miles.

The bike path is very lovely during spring, summer, and fall and is well maintained. The length of the trail takes about 1 or so hours. During the bike ride, you can see wildlife and beautiful scenery. It's a pleasure riding and not worrying about cars or traffic.

This was my second bike tour with PortCity. Our guides, Dawn and Paul, were great. They explained how the tour was going to go and how to operate the bikes. Some in our group rode regular bikes and others rode e-bikes. This didn't affect the pace of the ride at all. The ride was 18 miles long, with a short section on the road to get to the trail. The surface is well-packed and easy to ride with a hybrid bike. While there wasn't much bright foliage or wildlife on the trail, this is a great off-the-road ride.

We had the pleasure of spending several hours with Donna exploring the rail trail and, on our return, some interesting sights in Portsmouth. We lucked out as it was only my wife and I, so we had the private tour! The booking was easy, the follow up and reminders were helpful, our reception/orientation was warm, and the equipment was in perfect order. On the return from the rail trail, Donna took extra time to show us several special places in Portsmouth that interested us.
