What To Expect
Basilica del Voto Nacional
The Basilica is a Gothic Church in Quito with tons of history and legends. You will be able to walk around the courtyard, take some great pics and have some time to sketch the church if you like or just marvel with the unique architecture. Truly impressive.
Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande)
After a visit to the Basilica we will enter the Historic Center, park the car and walk to the Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande). Before reaching the Plaza you can make a stop at my favorite vintage coffee roaster for some Ecuadorian ground coffee. You will have some time to explore the plaza and its surroundings which include the Cathedral, Arch Bishop´s palace, Chocolate Museum, Presidential Palace, Metropolitan museum and much more. Visiting Independence Plaza allows you to see what yesteryear Quito was all about. Feel like you stepped into a time machine and embrace yesteryear Quito.

5.00We had a great day seeing Quito. Our guide was knowledgeable and very interesting to spend the day with. When we mentioned our love of coffee he added two stops - one to a local bakery and another to a coffee roaster. I recommend this tour.

5.00Diego P was a knowledgeable tour guide and very friendly. He accommodated our groups dietary restrictions and was flexible with the itinerary, taking us to see sights we hadn’t already visited during other day trips and tours. He was also a very safe driver!

5.00Great day getting to know the Quito area! It was the perfect mix of experiences. Ending the day at the Itinan museum was perfect, actually our favorite part of the day. It was informative and very entertaining. The weather during the time at the Teleferico was cloudy, which unfortunately made visibility poor. Our guide Diego was personable, friendly and full of knowledge. Thanks for a great day!

5.00This was a good experience. We were traveling as a family with 2 young children, so the flexibility of private tour is worth the extra cost. Our guide, Jean Pierre, was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. We went to Teleferico, Mitad del mundo, and brief tour of old Town. Highly recommend!!!

5.00Our guide, Diego, picked us up without a hitch at the lobby of our hotel, and we were whisked away for a great day with Fernando as our driver. Diego gave us lots of interesting information about Quito and its history throughout the day, and was able to pace the day very well so that we never felt rushed (or bored) at any of the sites. Every single place we went to (teleferico, Jesuit church, intinan museum), was a highlight, and not to be missed on a trip to Quito. We had a fantastic day!
They must not hesitate to do so.

5.00Our guide, Jean Pierre, was very friendly (which is a characteristic of Ecuadorian), patient (two people aged 82 and 80 were with us) and well aware of the sites we visited. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00We booked a full day tour with Andres. He reached out via whatsapp shortly after we booked to introduce himself. As we got closer to the trip date in late June 2022 a general strike, road closures and demonstrations took place in Ecuador in general and Quito specifically. Andres kept in touch as the dynamic situation developed. We discussed possible alternatives and substitutions to the tour, changed the day of the tour hoping that conditions would improve and allow the tour to go forward. We were not fortunate to see the situation improve. Once Andres and I agreed that there are no feasible alternatives, Andres cancelled the tour and a refund was issued within minutes of the cancellation. While we did not get to enjoy a tour with Andres due to circumstance beyond everyone's control; his open communications, honesty and excellent customer support and service is 5 star worthy.
