Osumi Canyons is located in the region of Skrapar, not far from the city of Berat

What To Expect

If you've got a taste for adventure and you are curious about wild Albania, join us! We depart from the beautiful UNESCO heritage city of Berat and head out across the wilderness of the Osumi Canyons in Skrapar. Rafting will provide magnificent scenery as you float by the Canyon walls and will certainly make for a memorable experience. Eight waterfalls, a cathedral, the unspoiled nature, and the soothing sounds of running water combine to create a truly unique trip.

Superb landscape; beautiful!! The monitor is also very nice. The shame is that there was not much water (although enough to enjoy). The shoes they provided us were for Spartans and in the end they took their toll, better to take them from home.

Fantastic experience kayaking down the beautiful Osumi canyon, stunning scenery all the way. Lead by great guides Lucas and Iken. Definitely the highlight to our trip so far.

It was amazing experience, full of fun. Not difficult watter level even for childreen in June. The guides Lucas and Iken were excellent guides and Very helpful in the diffucults parts.
Amazing experience for active people with slight disappointment at the end.

The Osum Canyon is wonderful for nature lovers. To pass it through in an inflatable canoe ( shallow waters, because of dry season, didn’t allow rafting or kayaking) was a challenging but rewarding experience. For most of us it was first time experience with packrafting. The initial group consisted of 5 people only. Lucas, our guide, did a fantastic job, especially in those places where there was rapid current.Lucas was guiding the group and taking some pictures, which he sent to our WA accounts. He even took some tea, coffee and biscuits he shared with us when we made a break. We stoped at a big waterfall in the middle section of the canyon. We could swim next to the waterfall. Another group, led by few guides of the same company, joined us there. The other guides focused on taking pictures and videos of all of us. I’m disappointed with the service Albrafting Berat provided after the trip. None of our initial group of 5 was told how we can get the pictures taken by the guides. guides. We’re having lunch in a restaurant when the guides said goodbyes and left to their base. When I contacted Albrafting about the recordings, they gave me a phone number to Lucas. Lucas send all pictures he’d taken and gave me contact numbers to the other guides. There’s no response from the others. Taking into account the advertised price of €90pp for rafting or kayaking, I expect a travel agency help their customers rather than advise them to chase an issue with their employees or business partners. Nonetheless, it’s definitely worth to go to the canyon, but take your own pictures.

Unique experience with amazing views! The coffee and biscuits in the break were greatly appreciated. Our guides, Lucas and Iken, were fantastic: profesional and very helpful, made the day unforgettable! They also took so many pictures and sent them all to us right away, a great memory!

On our vacation, we wanted to do some active experiences in addition to exploring the country. One of the wishes on the list was rafting. As a family with two children (9 and 12 years old), safety and reliability were important to us, so we looked for a suitable and qualified team. Alma from Albania Rafting Adventure recommended us packrafting/kayaking through the beautiful location of Osumy Canyon. It was definitely a truly wonderful one-day trip and experience. Osumy Canyon is an extraordinary place, beautiful, fantastic water and an exceptional team. The guys did their job really professionally, they were friendly, always helpful, they speak excellent English. I can say that I felt very safe. Especially my girls were relaxed and happy. I have no complaints. :) For a one-day trip, I definitely recommend the team from Albania Rafting Adventure and the experience in Osumy Canyon. PS: Don't forget your sunscreen. The sun is quite strong.
