What To Expect
Guided by our experienced crew, with Catch & Cook Adventures go on a fishing safari on the turquoise waters of the Raiatea and Taha'a lagoon and experience a unique fishing adventure in Polynesia! Live a private fishing adventure in Raiatea, centered on reef fish: grouper, snapper, carangues and other treasures of the lagoon. Guided by your passionate local captain, explore unspoilt spots and perfect your techniques in an exceptional natural setting. If conditions permit and the opportunity arises, we will also try fishing for pelagics such as tuna or mahi-mahi. We make every effort to maximise your chances, but fishing remains an unpredictable activity and it is possible that nothing will be caught. You will then participate in the culinary preparation of your daily intake whenever possible. Whatever happens, our team always plans a tasty meal to keep your experience complete, serene and memorable. Fishing Adventure - Catch & Cook full experience
Duration: 7 hours: The tour starts at 8:30 am, departure is at the marina of Uturoa and return is at 3:30 pm. Drinks & Meals: Water, local juice and a cocktail are offered on this tour. Lunch is included. Boat: Boat 20 feet / engine 175 hp

5.00It was a fantastic trip. Captain Kenzo did everything possible to catch us a big fish, which we requested. He modified the meal experience at our request and we kept fishing and ate on the boat. The food was delicious and he had fresh coconuts as well as juice and water. My husband caught an over 5 foot shark which we released back after getting some great pictures in the water. While my husband really enjoyed the fight, Kenzo jumped in to help when my husband requested assistance in the middle. I would highly recommend this experience. Please understand that he will adjust the experience for your comfort and experience level.

5.00The day with Kenzo was probably the best of our trip to French Polynesia. We had action from fish and always felt like he was working hard to find them. We had lunch pulled up near a motu (island) which was secluded, not to mention the lunch was delicious. Kenzo was professional and engaging. We could not give a higher recommendation for him.

5.00Amazing day Catch ans cook! We had a great day with Kenzo. The fishing was not very fruitful but a few fights and small catches (all spread out in the water) enhanced this magnificent experience. The boat is new, well equipped to protect from the sun (don't forget UV shirt and sunscreen), well equipped for fishermen. Kenzo adapted to my husband, fisherman, and favored fishing at "sea", and a return with a peach in the lagoon. Beautiful lunch in the water, prepared before our eyes by Kenzo, on an intimate corner of Tahaa beach. I recommend Kenzo and his wife, very kind, for your next excursions.

5.00If you want to experience Raiatea as a local, Catch & Cook is your best option! We were in Raiatea for just the day (on a cruise) but Captain Kenzo (pictured) met our tender and shortly we were zooming out past Taha'a for great spin casting fishing among the coral heads. He has a new 23' center console with a large sun top (thankfully!) and provides everything you need for the day: gear, water, juice, etc. After a few hours of (successful) fishing and releasing, he took us to an isolated motu (one of the uninhabited islands surround Raiatea and Taha'a) for a scrumptious lunch of local delicacies and a swim (if you wish). Then we fished our way back (by choice because he offed us other activities if we were tired of fishing such as visiting a pearl farm or a rum distillery). It was a spectacular day on the water! Captain Ken was great company, we had a ball and we caught a lot of fish!

5.00Great tour!! I highly recommend it. Kenzo is a really cool guy who is gonna make sure you have the best time possible. I booked 2 days in the row and it was epic, first day was full fishing. Went outside the outer reef for popping and jigging. Kenzo knows a lot of spots and his boat is well equipped, fish finder/ lots of space/ shade/ many rod holders/ stable... Very comfy. And on the second day we fished the shallow lagoons of Raiatea with lighter tackle for half the day then went to a traditional meal on a stunning little motu (island). Even as a Tahitian I was blown away. Thanks mate im sure I'll see you again! Thank you for your cheerful attitude

5.00This adventure was amazing. My wife and I were taking this adventure from a cruise ship. Due to an issue on this ship, we pulled into port about 1.5hrs later. We had been in contact with Keunzo, so he was waiting for us when we finally arrived. Due to the wind conditions, he took us around to the other side of the island. We got to see a fish trap before we went fishing ourselves. We did deep water casting, big game trolling, and shallow water stick fishing. We caught two chameleon grouper, one of which we cooked up for lunch. The lunch spread was amazing: ceviche, fresh grouper, marinated tuna, loads of vegetables, and rum punch. My wife and I got some snorkeling and swimming in while lunch was being prepared (we tried a motu, but the mosquitos were nasty). Keunzo was super friendly, helpful, and genuinely excited for every fish we caught.

5.00The experience was absolutely amazing! We had a successful day, catching eight fish in total. Captain Kenzo was fantastic and truly made the trip memorable. We even got to enjoy some of our fresh catch! We landed a 2 kg chameleon grouper and a 2kg black trevally. I totally recommend booking a trip with Captain Kenzo!
