If you have any dietary needs—such as food allergies, or vegan or halal preferences—please mention them when booking. While I’ll do my best to adjust the ingredients, please note that I may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Aki was very knowledgeable on the ingredients and techniques, she was a wonderful host. The food we cooked was delicious. We got to make the noodles, fold the gyoza, build the broth all from scratch. I would highly recommend this class for anyone interested in ramen/gyoza, cooking in general or just having a fun couple hours and learning a new skill! Huge thanks to Aki and Yumi for having us, we will definitely be making this food again and hope to visit Japan again soon and take another class!

This was an amazing experience. It’s was a small class and very personal. Our kids enjoyed the entire process of making gyoza and ramen, all from scratch. One son has an allergy and there was excellent communication to accommodate that. Highly recommended!

Great ramen making class! Aki taught us about the ramen making process and all of the ingredients we used as we went through the class. She was very accommodating to my husband’s shellfish allergy and made sure he was safe. 10/10 would recommend coming here for an authentic friendly cooking experience.

My sister and a friend of ours did Aki’s Ramen and Gyoza cooking class. Communication from the our correspondence leading up to the class and to our meeting at the class, was warm and fun. We made a special request to have a class outside of the times available and Aki was very fast at letting us know that this would be possible. It was so much fun to learn to cook Japanese food from Aki. She is not a professionally trained chef but rather she has learnt from her family which was of appeal to me because we were not after any sort of technical recipes, we wanted to be able to learn recipes that would be easily able to be replicated at home for our families. Aki had some fantastic history about the dishes and her recipes following the classes are very easy to follow. Aki is fun, easy going and very outgoing for a Japanese lady, you can tell that she truly enjoys connecting with other cultures and sharing her recipes with you. I highly recommend this experience. Having the class at the end of the day was ideal as we got to explore Japan during the day and then we met for our class at 5 pm and it was nice to sit down, talk whilst we were cooking and then enjoy the meal we had prepared afterwards. This was a great experience that I will always remember.

Aki is super sweet and welcoming. The recipes are delicious and she even made sure I could eat vegetarian ramen and gyozas, while my friend was able to have meat. She gives great instructions and allows you to be very hands on with the cooking. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone interested in learning to make ramen and gyozas in a peaceful and chill environment. Thank you so much Aki you are amazing!

If you are considering booking a cooking class in Tokyo then pleaseeee don’t scroll past Aki’s ramen and gyoza making session!! I booked the session as a Christmas gift for my Dad and it’s safe to say that it is one of our core memories from our Japan trip. Aki is so kind and generous, and the food she cooked with us is some of the best we had during our trip!! The cooking process was fun, simple and educational and the kitchen felt so warm and homely. We stayed in Shibuya and had no trouble using the train system to get to Aki’s kitchen! If you are wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of Tokyo for a few hours, cook some delicious food and meet some fellow travellers, then this class is perfect for you!! Thank you again Aki ☺️🍜

We had a wonderful time making ramen with Aki! Her apartment was easy to get to and to find, everything was setup nicely and was well prepared. It was very enjoyable to be with the other guest as we made the meal then ate together. Aki is so nice too. Highly recommend!
