I'll take you OFF-THE-BEATEN-TRACK to visit THREE live music sessions in THREE REAL DUBLIN MUSIC PUBS... where you'll enjoy THREE drinks with NEW FRIENDS. You'll learn the HISTORY of our music - giving you A REAL CONNECTION to Irish music. We'll share a GREAT NIGHT filled with FUN, MUSIC and SONGS. You'll MAKE NEW FRIENDS and along the way you'll learn about and hear DIFFERENT STYLES of Irish music, the INSTRUMENTS played... and you'll even learn the difference between a JIG and a REEL! You will be doing lots of walking across the city between pubs so please wear suitable shoes and clothing.

5.00Ciaran was fantastic. His knowledge about music and pride for Irish culture was evident throughout. I would not have found the spots we visited on my own, and it was so nice to get outside of the tourist traps and learn more about the real Ireland. The tour really made the my trip! He kindly offered tips for other parts of Ireland as well and I'm excited to check out his recommendations for Galway! The entire experience was lovely from start to finish and I would highly recommend it for solo travelers like myself! If you're debating booking the tour, just do it!

The highlight for us was the live music. Each pub featured talented local musicians who played with heart and authenticity. It wasn’t a flashy performance — just great traditional music. You could tell the musicians cared deeply about the craft, and it was a treat to hear them up close. 5.00Neal was the best guide, we discovered parts of the trad music scene that we would have never found and accessed because of him. The history and integration Irish trad music into pop culture and music was fascinating. Neal was so friendly and kind. He shared his love of music with us and we would do this particular tour again! Everyone will be different because the artists and songs and sometimes locations will be different each time. Thank you Neal and congrats on the new little one!

4.00This was a very good tour. Kieran, our guide, was well-informed, part of the music community himself, and enthusiastic. The pubs were all different so we got a variety of experiences. Kieran also highlighted some of the sights en route between the three pubs we visited. My only criticism is that we spent at least as much time walking as we did listening to music. An hour and 20 minutes in, we had heard only about 30 minutes of music. And at the second stop, the musicians took a break shortly after we arrived (which I understand is hard to anticipate). Otherwise, all good. Just be aware that there’s a lot of walking (and standing)-we had already walked all day!

5.00We had Seán as our tour guide and could not be happier with our night out. Each place we visited was absolutely legit and had some amazing musicians playing outstanding trad music. Seán worked tirelessly to get us the best spots to experience each performance and was constantly making sure if we needed anything. We were made to feel like VIPs wherever we went and couldn’t be happier when the night was done. A talented musician in his own right he even treated us to an impromptu performance at our last stop! Great tour with a great guide made for a night we won’t soon forget.
