We had our horseback riding trip on Sunday, 12/08/25 and it was fantastic! From the pick-up to the drop-off. We are a family of three with twelve years old boy and he had a blast. The guides could not have been nicer! They were attentive to all our needs - obviously some of us were not equestrians nor with a lot of riding experience and yet we felt great and enjoyed every second. My twelve year old wants to do it again soon :). The manager Patricia, rode alongside the group helping the other two guides along the way. She made sure everyone was helped and all questions were answered. One of the guides (sorry did not remember her name) who was a recent hire not only knew horses but she was also experienced in teaching kids ride (as a camp counselor). Highly recommended if you want to have a totally different experience and of course to get to know the amazing Icelandic horses!!! P.S. one word of advise - don’t wear white lol (one of the other people in our group wore all white outfit and by the end of the ride things were not as crisp:)

Encourage everyone to join this activity very much! I booked this last minute because people I met during another day tour recommend doing this. My horse is Gríma, beautiful, strong headed and majestic. They will give you basic instructions on how to ride a horse before starting. At first, it will be a slow pace strolling along the road then you’ll get opportunity for photo stop with the horse. The staffs will ask if you voluntarily would like to try going further at faster pace and so on we keep going for another hour before returning to the stable.

Great tour with beautiful views. The horses were gentle and well cared for. The guides were knowledgeable and very helpful. Smart, friendly , and accommodating young women who handled everything. Klara was particularly amazing!!!

I booked this horseback riding tour after doing quite a bit of research and reading many reviews. We chose the morning tour on the day we arrived. There was a light layer of snow on the ground, and the trails were quite icy. Unfortunately, the horse I was paired with wasn’t a good fit for me, or anyone, honestly. During the two-hour ride, the horse bit another horse (the guide said this was normal), bucked and kicked a horse behind us, and at one point began moving around unpredictably. I was told by the guide to loosen the reins until it calmed down. Several horses struggled with footing due to the icy conditions, and at one point, my horse lost balance on both front legs and nearly fell to its knees. I was panicked, thinking we might go down completely. The guide simply said, “You handled it well.” While the scenery was undeniably beautiful, the ride itself felt stressful rather than enjoyable. I’d recommend being mindful of the season and weather conditions when booking this tour. Our tour was the end of October.
