Perfect relaxed excursion to Lake Atitlan

5.00If you're looking for a place to relax in Lake Atitlan vs a go-go-go tour - this is IT! The tour company was very communicative and helpful every step of the way from picking us up in Antigua, meeting us in Panajachel, and taking the boat ride to Santa Cruz. We walked to Los Elementos and got to explore the small town a bit which was very relaxed and beautiful. Upon arrival at Los Elementos, Lee, the host greeted us and provided us all kinds of information regarding meals, things to do, and where to go for best sights. Lee was an incredible host bringing us fresh lemonade, snacks, and making us feel at home. We would absolutely love to return and rent one of their private cabins as the views, dock, kayak supplies, and all the vibes were amazing!

5.00It was a relaxing and premium experience. They offer pick-ups and shuttles from Antigua. The public boat transportation took a while to find the right place to be onboard, though. Reimbursement was also offered for the public boat to get to the dock. The experience offers kayaks, paddles, and others, as well as a relaxing massage tub/spa. It was a really amazing experience. 5.00We had a wonderful time at Los Elementos Adventure Center and Spa. Lee and Elaine were so welcoming. The property is beautiful and was relaxing. The kayaking and swimming was awesome. Lake Atitlán is stunning and the water temperature was perfect.

2.00The location is beautiful. The accommodation is basic but acceptable. The hosts hearts just don’t appear to be in it. There were numerous failings during our short stay which left us with a bitter taste. They may as well just have left us a key … then at least we wouldn’t have had all of the disturbances from their day to day living and we wouldn’t have relied on them for all of the things they promise. It should be said, however, that external guides recommended were all excellent.

1.00The place was a total disappointment. The place was not luxurious, not relaxing, there was no food available, the guys wife was the massage lady, and there were cats and dogs on the property. It looked like it was the guys house with some hammocks around the place. I couldn’t wait to leave, but it took three hours to get there from Antigua. I stayed on the property less than 20m. Do not book this tour.

4.00Mario was a superstar tour guide. He also knows everyone and all the best places. While he prefers to guide more intense adventures, he was also great with the more laid back vibe in the little group I was part of. 100% recommend using him as a tour guide. Mario - much as gracias y matyox! The only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 was because of the stress and confusion surrounding the departure times due to the processions in Antigua on a Sunday morning during lent, and the return in the evening. I was still uncertain, outside my hotel at 0455, if they got the message that I approved the earlier departure time. I did feel a little bad if my age made the others in the group do less adventure than they planned, but all of them seemed chill and in favor of a slower day since we were all packing in a lot of activities in a much shorter span. Thanks!

4.00The lake itself was an amazing experience. Thank you Lee for allowing us to come to your home and the hospitality. The restaurant next door was delicious and beautiful. I did not give five stars and would have taken off more but I don’t want it to affect Lee’s rating however the transportation experience was horrible. They were so unprofessional going back home they had us wait over 45 mins for travelers they’d didn’t account for; then because they were behind on time they left us in some random spot in Antigua because the driver needed to continue to the city.

5.00Transportation to and from the resort was seamless. The resort itself was absolutely beautiful and we were given a small, private cabin to relax and store our bags in. The hosts were lovely, and my daughter and I had a perfectly relaxing day kayaking on the lake and playing at the little beach near the dock. Several dining options are available a few minutes walk away near the public dock. One of the best Viator experiences I have had to date!
