Travel into the protected waters of Resurrection Bay in search of gray whale on their annual migration through Alaskan waters on this 4-hour excursion. Gray whales migrate over 5,000 miles from Baja to the Bering and Chukchi Seas each year in search of food. They begin their migration north in late February and travel through Alaskan waters in the spring. In addition to gray whales, watch for humpback whales, orca, Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and many other types of marine birds.

What To Expect
Join the season's first Seward cruise through Resurrection Bay to the Gulf of Alaska in search of wildlife, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and stunning spring scenery. Search for migrating whales and resident wildlife as you take in the rugged beauty. Watch for Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and more. In spring, you may even see mountain goats with their newly born kids and a chance for early season humpback whales or orcas. Your experienced captain and naturalist crew members provide narration throughout the cruise, sharing insights about the area's wildlife, history, and natural wonders for a memorable Alaska experience.

5.00SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! You get seated at your own table inside, which is super nice when booking during cooler months, and they serve delicious reindeer hotdogs! They also have complimentary tea and coffee, which was great for the journey. All the staff were super friendly and even on a rainy/cloudy day we got to see otters, seals, sea lions, porpoises, and mountain goats! Unfortunately, the clouds were hanging very low so we couldn’t really see glaciers, but this cruise was probably the best thing we got to do on our weekend trip to Alaska!

5.00Early in the season the boat was not full. The staff seemed more engaged than some of the other tours we have done. We saw lots of critters. A person in our group spotted a whale and jumped around. They did not pay any attention so she went to the galley yelling. Then they slowed down and we went back. Great visit then with this humpback. Highly recommend.

5.00Cruise was excellent. Boat was very clean and comfortable and staff were helpful. We saw orcas and humpback whales as well as sea lions and otters. It was chilly (late April) so dress warm but highly recommend.
