"Welcome to our KGB Volga 21 tour in Yerevan, Armenia! In this tour, we will not focus on the darker aspects of the KGB's actions during the Soviet era. Instead, we will take a fun trip back in time and get a glimpse of how life was during that period. You will be able to see the unique soviet architecture and design. We'll be glad that we're not living in that time, but now it's an interesting situation to be in a place where many things have changed. You'll be riding in a classic Volga 21, a car that was used by the KGB and their high-ranking officers. It's a soviet treasure hunt! After the tour, you could add a hunt for treasure when you might find an under-appreciated soviet materials from the flee market in Yerevan, using the guide's bargaining knowledge. Join us for a unique and intriguing journey through Yerevan's past and present." As we drive through the city, we'll make sure to stop at some of the best viewpoints in Yerevan, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city while sipping on traditional Armenian drinks. Photos will be a very unique thing to do.

Although I am not sure the title specifically matches the tour, I spent 2 lovely hours with a great guide and driver in a Volga from 1960. This excursion turned out great for me because I am super interested in old cars and I am not sure where else I'd ever have a chance to cruise around in the back of a Volga. Just to set expectations not much was specifically planned out so if you're good going with the flow than this excursion would be for you :-)

I really enjoyed this tour and recommend it as a great way to see the city if you've newly arrived or looking for a way to show visitors around. First of all, the car. It's gorgeous, and it was a real pleasure to drive around in such a special car that has been lovingly cared for over many decades. The driver was highly skilled, as was my guide Teodoro. We had a miscommunication at the start, and he responded quickly and professionally so that everything worked out perfectly. That was great service. I really enjoyed our conversations as he introduced me to his hometown and was responsive to my questions and interests. I ended up with good photos too. I can highly recommended this tour as a special experience in the city, with an excellent guide and safe driver.

We booked and paid for the KGB tour all 10 days in advance, but heard nothing from the organizer until we even contacted the day before the trip. Then we were told they could start at 00. 15:00, which was a little late for us. We proposed cl. 11, and got confirmation on it. But the next morning, cl. 9:30, we received an SMS saying that they had technical problems and could not start until 10:00. 17.00. When we called to hear about other possibilities, we got the answer that it might be around noon. 15:00 anyway – but nothing was certain. We thought this was too poorly organized. It is not reasonable to expect to keep the whole day open for a trip that might happen, maybe not. We had been very happy and were unfortunately very disappointed. This experience did not live up to expectations.

Wow, what a fab way to see around Yerevan and its Soviet history. The car was the highlight too. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable- we had Brandy on our tour which was very nice. We saw the children’s train, the huge Mother Armenia statue - around her pedestal. Is an arrmored infantry vehicle, an armored vehicle-152, a T-34 tank, a MiG-19 aircraft, a Katyusha BM-13, a 76 mm anti-aircraft machine gun, and an S-75 anti-aircraft missile system. Admission is free. We went past the cascade. A great time and a lovely way to get a orientation of the city.
