We are the highest rated Northern Lights tour in Iceland because we have realized that entertainment is a crucial part of the excursion, especially if we have to wait for the Aurora to come out.
We have free retries if you don't see the aurora on your first try, hot chocolate and Gingerbread to warm you up.
The Tour is educational, engaging and entertaining as you will learn about the science and mythology of the northern lights as well as engage in an active chase of the Northern Lights. We depart from Reykjavik.
We are professional Photographers armed with high end equipment able to capture the memories with in high definition, much better than any phone camera can accomplish.
If you want an epic picture we also have some Viking props to take fun pictures, lots of fun and laughter.
We only use minibuses with extra heaters that we keep warm throughout the night so you can always retreat inside to a warm car if you get cold.

5.00This was one of the most amazing once in a lifetime experiences. We saw the northern lights not once but twice and Tomas our tour guide was the best guide we’ve ever had! He drove for 7 hours and didn’t give up until he felt we had the best experience he could provide! It’s no guarantee to see the lights but his dedication, knowledge and the beautiful places he took us to made the trip fantastic with the lights as an added bonus. Couldn’t recommend an experience more highly and the professional photos are fab. A huge thank you to Tomas and team for going above and beyond!

5.00Felix was personable and knowledgeable guide. He informed us on what was happening or what was going to happen and then we were on our merry way, a quick stop at the gas station and then boom Felix was off!! I believe we drove out about a hour and then we stopped a couple times. Finally we all got out and Felix directed us where to look, point camera and yes there it was the Aurora! Not super strong but yes the Aurora!! Felix snapped pics, others of course snapped pics and it was on!!! I appreciated the effort last time I was in Iceland I took a tour with another company and can I say Not Good!! Not the case here! Thanks Felix you made my day, week, month!!!!

5.00My mom & I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! With our initial scheduled time, it was lovely; however we were not able to see the lights, although our tour guide worked very hard to find them. Once rebooked, for free, we were finally able to see them and the view was AMAZING!! Although we wished they appeared a little more, even seeing them how we did was a dream come true. And our tour guide on this round was so great as well. I highly recommend this tour and company with anyone who wants to see the Northern Lights in Iceland!!

5.00We had an incredible experience with Aurora Viking over two nights. On Saturday, our guide was Jonas, who was absolutely fantastic, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping us catch the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, mother nature didn’t play ball that night and the skies stayed quiet with extreme cloud, but the way Aurora Viking handled it was impressive. They communicated with us clearly and promptly, letting us know they would take us out again at the next opportunity. That chance came on *Monday, December 1st, and this time we were guided by Felix, who was exceptional from start to finish. He was patient, kind, and an absolute gentleman. The whole process was so easy and well organised. Felix never gave up, he stayed in constant contact with the Aurora Viking team, coordinating tirelessly to get us to the perfect spot. And it paid off: we were treated to beautiful, vibrant Northern Lights dancing across the sky. We captured amazing photos, made unforgettable memories, and felt truly taken care of on both outings. Aurora Viking went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful. An amazing tour and a fantastic company. We would highly recommend Aurora Viking.
