We are the highest rated Northern Lights tour in Iceland because we have realized that entertainment is a crucial part of the excursion, especially if we have to wait for the Aurora to come out.
We have free retries if you don't see the aurora on your first try, hot chocolate and Gingerbread to warm you up.
The Tour is educational, engaging and entertaining as you will learn about the science and mythology of the northern lights as well as engage in an active chase of the Northern Lights. We depart from Reykjavik.
We are professional Photographers armed with high end equipment able to capture the memories with in high definition, much better than any phone camera can accomplish.
If you want an epic picture we also have some Viking props to take fun pictures, lots of fun and laughter.
We only use minibuses with extra heaters that we keep warm throughout the night so you can always retreat inside to a warm car if you get cold.

Departs from Rerykjavik and hunt down the lights in different locations depending on the forecast.

We go out and hunt for the Aurora in various locations depending on the best spot each evening using the latest tech and science to help us find the best spot to see the Aurora.

5.00This was an amazing trip considering it was middle of April with vey low likelihood to see the Northern Lights, but our guide was able to find them. The reason I really liked this group is because 1) they allow you to re-book for free if you don’t see the northern lights. On our trip, we saw them, but he felt the lights were not good enough, so offered to rebook on the spot, 2) the guide took pictures of everyone with the northern lights and they were professional grade. Much better than my iPhone or my wife’s DSLR Nikon. The pictures he took of the northern lights and of us with the northern lights were spectacular and they were included with the trip. He took as many as we wanted and he emailed all the pictures the very next day. Would highly recommend this trip as those two reasons makes this group stand out from all the other groups. Also got some hot chocolate as well. The pictures that I posted were just a fraction of the pictures taken by him.

5.00Words cannot describe how amazing our experience with Kobi was! The four of us booked a private tour with him to see the auroras and we left with memories and stories we will share for the rest of our lives. Do not waste your time booking with other tour companies. Aurora Viking is a local company full of knowledge and interesting stories. We cannot recommend enough!!!

5.00we didn’t think we had many prospects because of all of the cloud cover, but our tour guide, TOMAS, was fantastic! He hunted those northern lights, had sophisticated equipment to assist him, and sounded like he was on a constant communication with “home base .“ The result was spectacular! We had two separate spots with beautiful Northern lights pictures. TOMAS was the consummate tour guide! He is knowledgeable, patient, has incredible stick-to-it-iveness, and his dedication to “hunting “out these northern lights proved fruitful! And then to top it off, we had the best hot chocolate and ginger biscuits! It was an absolute high of our stay! Can’t wait to download those pictures! This company is absolutely a must!
