Rhino Walking Safari enables our guests experience intimate and up-close interaction with nature, track White Rhinocerous and other Wildlife species on foot, physically traverse the beautiful landscapes and ecosystems of the Mosi oa Tunya National Park. Guests discover and learn more about various species of Wildlife,Flora and landscapes on this Walking Safari. Tracking Rhinocerous is a unique and unmatched life experience. Guests do video recordings or get up-close and perfect photos whilst on this Walking Safari expedition.

What To Expect

Upon arrival in the Park,you will pick up an armed Wildlife Officer from Department of National Parks to accompany and safeguard your team on walking Safari. As the activity begins ,the Safari Guide will give a detailed briefing about the Dos and Donts whilst on safari. More time is spent on observing and tracking the White Rhinoceros and other species . The Safari Guide will provide detailed explanations on every aspect of nature encountered on Safari . Together, you will track the white rhinoceros up to the point where you will succeed to locate them up-close and with great views . At this point,you will take videos or photos in proximity.The activity is concluded by having snacks and refreshments at the Picnic Site on the banks of the Zambezi River ,preceded by return transfer to your Hotel. ITENERARY 06:40am/1:40pm-Pick up from your Hotel 07:00am/2:00pm-Pick up of Armed Wildlife Officer from Wildlife Base 07:10am/2:10pm-Activity Briefing and Walking Safari 09:30am/4:30pm-End of Activity /Snacks and Refreshments at Picnic Site 10:00am/5:00pm-Transfer to your Hotel

    Not many animals as we chose 2 pm. The rhino walk is a short walk with two armed keepers to within 50m of the rhino. That was close enough, especially as the youngest was a month old.

  • It a good experience of life time hopefully to come with my workmate.i will be coming every year now.

    The holiday was fabulous. We had an amazing Rhino walking safari. The team was amazed with the guide's depth of knowledge . We equally enjoyed the tour of the Victoria falls and Chobe National Park. That was unforgettable life time experience.

    Rhino Walking Safari experience was amazing.Seeing Wildlife species including Rhino in proximity was a fulfilling .The picnic was great on the River Bank.Highly recommend Traverse Zambia Safaris Limited.

    Rhino Walking Safari was a great experience coupled with an amazing picnic on the banks of the Zambezi River.We ended our trip with a Chobe Day Trip where we saw a lot of animals,complimented by nice lunch at a Safari Lodge.Your services are amazing.Highly recommended.

    We had a Rhino Walking Safari and it was a worthwhile learning experience. Encountering the White Rhinocerous in the Wilderness was amazing. Will come back! The Chobe Day Trip was an extraordinary experience too, fantastic.
