St. Nicholas Church
Driving through Mt. Profitis Ilias in Rhodes unveils a verdant haven, where ancient olive, fig, and plane trees encircle a charming stone church. This bewitching tableau, nestled at the mountain's summit, emanates an almost otherworldly charm. The 15th-century St. Nikolaos Foundoukli, distinguished by its distinctive stone construction and quadruple apses, stands as a medieval treasure. The church's interior walls burst into life with stunning frescoes that illustrate the Christological cycle, the four Evangelists, and a variety of saints, all woven together with elaborate artistic patterns, establishing it as a mesmerizing highlight of the island. Beside the church, a cozy park and a spring known for dispensing the finest drinking water on the island—a fact, rather than a mere tourist tale—await your discovery. Do not miss the chance to experience the exceptional quality of this water. Amidst this tranquil environment, a splendid floor mosaic featuring a duo of deer invites admiration

A great off road experience, we were collected near our pick up point which was the port for us then driven to collect our vehicles, after the safety talk we drove high up in the hills of Rhodes, a quick stop to take in some fantastic views for photos, and a couple of more short stops, one of which was to seven springs and then off to sample some local honey, olives and lemoncello before heading back on the road for more off road fun, finally stopping for a wonderful lunch of mousakka at a local taverna, we had a great day and a great experience, we would definitely recommend.

Beware! Nothing about this tour was as advertised. The tour cost almost twice the amount advertised and there was no lunch included. When I inquired about the lunch and the payment I was told the misrepresentation online “was not their responsibility”. No refund issued. Great guides but I would not recommend this company.

Well organised day out, only 3 couples so easy to follow the guide. If you are not keen on heights then maybe not for you as we went up a mountain in our susuki jeep, on off road tracks, making it very bumpy and quite scary (for me) at times, but that was only the first bit, after which I relaxed. Cars are small in the back, would be worth paying for your own car. Stops were good.

This is a must do whilst travelling in Rhodes. Great off roading experience in the mountains, seeing amazing views. We had a driver as we weren't confident in driving ourselves and he was lovely with great knowledge! We visited a family donkey farm that kept bees and tried their products. We also went to the seven springs and the oldest church!

The off road part wasn't too challenging, just the right level for us. We visited several spots, but the coastal area was our favourite absolutely stunning views. Lunch was a pleasant surprise! I wasn't familiar with Greek dishes before, but now I hooked. I'll definitely be having greekbfood at least once a month now.

From the minute our guide, Stavros, picked us up at the port, our adventure began! After an interesting drive to the meeting place, we picked up our cars and headed to off road country! Literally, at times there were no roads! Views from the mountaintops were stunning! The tunnel at 7 Springs, the 2,000yo Olive tree & the “fountain of youth” were amazing stop overs. Our tour concluded at a local, family owned vineyard where we enjoyed wine tasting & the most delicious tapas lunch under a vine covered patio!
