The Night life at the reef is and amazing experience. A lot of the marine life leave there barrows and caves to come out and eat at night, so the reef has a lot of activity. Most of the animals you see only come out at night, everyone favorite is the Caribbean Octopus, spiny lobsters, squids, anemone's that come out of the sand and much more.

I cannot say enough positive things about this experience. For starters, $55 for the tour was an absolute steal for what you get for the money. Booking the tour through their website was as easy as can be. The communication from Ronnie was perfect and he made sure we knew exactly when we'd be picked up from our hotel, the location of where we would be going for the night snorkeling tour, and how long it would be to get there. We were lucky enough to have a tour for just my wife and I which started off with Ronnie picking us up from our hotel in an air conditioned vehicle. Along the ride to our snorkeling destination, he gave us a play by play of each area we passed through on the island along with all sorts of fun facts. Once we got to the location where the boat left from to take us snorkeling, we met Phillip who would be our night snorkeling guide while Ronnie would be the boat captain. They had all the equipment we needed, including snorkeling masks, flippers, and life jackets. As soon as we had all the gear ready, we boarded the boat and the adventure began in more ways than one. Since it was nighttime and we had never been to this area of the island, we had no idea what we would be getting ourselves into, especially on a night when it was windy and the water was quite choppy. And that's where having guides like Ronnie and Phillip was priceless. They did a great job of reassuring us that we would still have an amazing time, even without calm seas. The boat took us out to where we would be snorkeling and we each got our own flashlight before jumping into the dark waters. From that point forward began an experience we will never forget. As soon as I entered the water and shined my flashlight into the dark waters, I was greeted by a tiny squid about 4 inches long who came right up to me to investigate before immediately turning tale and inking me on his way off into the darkness. From there, Phillip guided us around the night waters to show us rays, enormous lobsters, conch, giant pufferfish feeding peacefully near coral, a 4 foot long nurse shark laying peacefully in a little hideout, trunkfish, and anemones that glowed in the most vibrant green and purple when he shined a blacklight on them. But the highlight by far...octopus! Several of them. We saw at least 5 or 6 octopuses, one of which we got to see move gracefully along the bottom of the water on its way to a part of the reef where it climbed on top and began to camouflage itself, ready to start feasting on the fish hiding beneath it. After this adventure into another world, Ronnie drove us back to our resort, once again sharing all kinds of fascinating stories about the history of Roatan and his experiences while growing up and living on the island. If you are looking for an amazing experience that won't break the bank and is led by two of the most genuine people we have met on our travels all over the world, then Roatan Getaway Tours is the place to book your night snorkeling. You won't be disappointed and will come away with an experience you will never forget! Thanks Ronnie and Phillip!

This was amazing. Ronald and Phillip are so kind gracious and knowledgeable. Ronald picked us up and gave us a wonderful introduction to the island as he drove us to the boat told us so much about life in Roatan. He was our boat captain on a beautiful boat. Phillip was snorkel master - told us about things we didn't know about helped us find many octopuses to observe and pointed out many things we might've missed otherwise. This was amazing!!!

By far one of my favorite adventures while visiting Roatán! The guides are very educated on the local wildlife and environment. They were also very accommodating and helped with anything we needed. We got to see tons of fish, octopus, sharks, lobster, eels, and cuttlefish! 10/10 recommend and will be back!

This tour was great! They drove us to and from our hotel in west bay. We saw several octopuses, a moray eel, some lion fish and many more! The guide answered all our questions and had lots of knowledge to share about the animals. We felt safe the entire time, the route is shallow so if you need break you can stand. I highly recommend this experience! Thanks guys!

Absolutely amazing this was the highlight of our trip to Roatan. Night snorkeling was so much fun, we had never done it before but so worth it! We saw so many animals out there, octopus, cuttlefish, moray eel, stingray, and lobsters to name a few. Our guide was great out there and knew exactly where to go, I would actually do this again if I had the chance. Thanks for an amazing experience!

We had an awesome time! It was just my partner and I and we saw some amazing sea life! We saw a snake eel, octopus, several lobsters, some cool anemones, and a couple stingrays! The guide made us feel very comfortable in the water at night. This was my first time snorkeling at night and I would absolutely do it again after this experience!
