What To Expect

We begin with a 15 minute hike through verdant trails across Serra de Água de Pau with an outstanding view of the village and the Vila Franca islet all the way to the climbing site. When we arrive at the climbing site we will brief you with some safety information and you will be presented with several routes, adequate for first timers and for experienced climbers whom are looking for a challenge.

Had an amazing time climbing with Ernesto in the azores. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and kept everything very safe. Me and my fiance had a blast and we cant recommend this experience enough!

My wife and I had an amazing time climbing with Go Wild during our recent trip to the Azores. The team at Go Wild were great at communicating in advance and making sure we got the most out of our time with them. We climbed with Ernesto and we couldn’t have been happier with the way he handled the tour. Ernesto was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Ernesto himself put up many of the sport climbs across the island, so it was great to get a chance to hit the crag with somebody who knew all the ins and outs of climbing on Sao Miguel. The area where we climbed is a beautiful location, with great views of the island from the top of many climbs. This was a real highlight of our trip, and the incredible team at Go Wild is a big reason we had so much fun. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody looking to have a fun adventure during their time in the Azores!

Absolutely outstanding experience. Truly the best part of our trip was this climbing excursion and we wish we had more days to do it! The guides we had were the men that had done all of the maintenance and made all of the routes at the crag, so it was a very unique and intimate experience!! Everyone was very kind, welcoming, and helpful. 11/10 would recommend!

We had a lot of fun climbing with Sofia and Ernesto. The routes are great, the area is beautiful and most importantly: the guides know what they are doing and they are patient with beginners.

Daniel and Ernesto are wonderful guides -knowledgeable, patient, flexible and caring. Despite I was the only climber, they both came along and we had plenty of fun climbing the beautiful 5 c/d and 6a volcano rocks. Will definitely return and highly recommend them.

I usually never give reviews but these guys are just special! They are the friendliest, most enthusiastic and professional people! They look over of the routes, even set some of them themselves and take care of the surrounding nature. My girlfriend and I had an expectation going into this but they rose the bar a whole other level. After a while we forgot we were even paying for this activity it just felt like being with great friends. I can’t recommend anything else as highly as this experience!!!
