5.00I went on a trip full of dreams and a strong desire to return to my hometown. São Gonçalo is a city that has several curiosities, such as the city center itself, which is called Zé Garoto, due to the son of a well-known Portuguese man and the Garoto came to Brazil, when he was about 10 years old and named after him. It was José, which is why the center of SG was immortalized with the nickname Zé Garoto. In this case, we observe the fact of belonging to the place, which is my case. The city square is very beautiful, there are always cultural presentations etc. and tells a little about the history of Zé Garoto and Estefânia de Carvalho, who bears the name of the square itself. São Gonçalo has 5 Districts. It ends up being a very strategic city too, neighboring Greater Niterói, a great city and within half an hour we are in the capital. Furthermore, SG, which is the acronym for the name São Gonçalo, has many peculiarities, such as Ilha das Flores, Praia das Pedrinhas, the environmental issues present, etc. But I would like to draw attention, mainly to African origins, religious syncretism, on the one hand it is the stage for the foundation of Umbanda in the world, through the District of Neves and we have the main Church of São Gonçalo de Amarante, that is, we observe the peculiar Brazilian multicultural characteristics, including indigenous, African, Portuguese culture, among others... Simply Fantastic❤️ São Gonçalo, a city that survives all political and social problems. Which despite all the diversity and adversity, has a unique and particular form. Which is our own Querida São Gonçalo - RJ. City in the metropolitan region of Rio.
