Excellent guide, great fun and very informative. From the lovely guy at the reception desk to the bike mechanic to the guide and trainee guide, everyone was lovely and made for a really enjoyable day. The ebikes mean no fitness is required but the off road and city cycling means you should be able to control a bike.

It was a wonderful day! Rik is an excellent tour director. He is extremely knowledgeable about Roman history and communicates so well. He led and directed us safely on a really beautiful ride through Rome and onto the Appian Way. He gave us clear directions and was so patient and attentive. The bikes were a good quality and we had so much fun! We had a great picnic in the most beautiful setting overlooking a historic Roman aquaduct. It was one of the most memorable bicycle tours I have ever taken. Also the catacombs were very cool!

This was such an amazing trip. My daughter is studying abroad and this area was not on her radar at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our day traveling through neighborhoods and the Appian Trail. It was the highlight of our trip. Definitely for those comfortable with riding through the city. Jimena was a spectacular guide!!

What an exciting adventure! Our family, which ranges from 13 to 73, all agreed this was our favorite experience on two trips to Italy. Ximena was an excellent guide- able to balance historical and geographical education with keeping us all safe on Roman roads. And to peddle for a short while and be in the country, riding the Appian Way, was so special. Of note: You really need to be comfortable and confident on a bike before you book this tour. If you have never ridden a bike in an urban area and never ridden a bike over bumps and ruts, you may find this beyond your comfort level. Take the "intermediate" in the description seriously.
