The best tour of Sri Lanka for our honeymoon!

5.00We went with Neel’s company, Sri Shannon Tours, for our honeymoon and he helped us arrange an incredible 3 week itinerary and was very responsive to all communication on the lead up to our flight. Neel was able to be very flexible with any changes we needed to make before or during our time in Sri Lanka. We toured with his wonderful colleague, Jinoy, driving us. Neel was excellent at arranging our accommodation and checking in with us, and Jinoy was an absolutely incredible guy to have with us on our tour! Jinoy is so friendly, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. He spoke to us about local customs and helped us to try all the best places and foods that Sri Lanka has to offer! He’s an amazing guide, and we were so happy to spend so many fun times together 😊 Jinoy also was so helpful to me when I unexpectedly got sick while on holiday, and helped me to get some medication so I could recover and keep enjoying our tour! We also spent time with Neel’s wonderful family (his wife Shaymali makes THE BEST kotthu in Sri Lanka- and we can verify this because we had kotthu from all over Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and none were as good as hers!!) We had the most wonderful time, we will never forget it. My husband and I would absolutely come back to Sri Shannon Tours the next time we come to Sri Lanka. 5.00Neel arranged a 3 night / 4 day tour to include Sigiriya, Dambulla, Hiriwadunna, Polunnaruwa, Minneriya National Park, Ramboda, Kandy. Including Tooth Temple, Botanical Gardens, other great temples, Tea Factory, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage etc. We had wonderful days packed with great sightseeing, and hotels in great places. The company has a number of drivers, and as they’re all busy at this time of year we were fortunate enough to get the owner Neel as our driver. I can’t speak highly enough of Neel and his company Shri Shannon Tours. We needed to pay a day late due to problems with our credit card on arrival - Neel was so laid back, no problem at all, telling us not to worry. Neel was really good at letting us know that we could decide what we wanted to do on the tour … nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge of Sri Lanka was second to none - he seemed to know everyone wherever we went, and how to get into places without fuss! Neel made sure everything worked smoothly. He looked after us so well, and made sure we were always happy. Neel found us the best driver for the Jeep Safari - honestly, the driver had us (safely) in the middle of herds of elephants whilst other drivers were looking on from a distance. Neel made sure we were paying appropriate prices whenever we bought trinkets or food/drink/tickets. Having spent the previous week on tour in India, it was so good to have a driver who drove safely and with consideration both for us and for the other road users. This might sound a little like I’m simply praising Neel and not pointing out any negatives - but the truth is there weren’t any. We had such a fantastic time, and saw tons of great stuff, accompanied by a charming guy. We got on so well that Neel and his lovely wife Shaymali invited us to dinner at their lovely home at the end of the tour. We had a lovely meal, with great people. I simply cant recommend Shri Shannon Tours highly enough.

5.00Nothing but praise for Neel! Not only is he a good driver who knows Sri Lanka inside out, but he also has a lot of good contacts and friends. He listened to our wishes and then looked for the perfect restaurants, guides, you name it. He knows someone everywhere who will give you a better experience for a small price than if you just followed your travel book. By having Neel around, your holiday in Sri Lanka cannot fail. Moreover, he is funny, attentive, fun with our children and punctual. We could not ask for a better driver.

5.00It was our second group tour in Sri Lanka with SRI SHANNNON TOURS. Everyone thing was perfect and the group had a smooth and unforgettable trip. They are well managed and experienced. Especially Neel was really responsible and kind. He always does his best. I really recommend this professional team. Enjoy Sri Lanka with them.
Janny was our driver and guide for 6 days and he drove us safe through al lot of places.

5.00Neel was an incredible driver and guide, he looked after all of us so well. Friendly, knowledgeable and always keen for us to explore areas of Sri Lanka we would never have been able to without him! Neel was good with communication before and throughout our trip, so we knew exactly where to go and what to do in a country which was so unfamiliar to us. Neel’s minivan was so comfy and clean, very reliable and we were able to plan our journey with wherever we wanted to go. We could be spontaneous as well as planned, which made for some incredible experiences. Thank you Neel, we hope to be back again to beautiful Sri Lanka soon.

5.00Neel, you are a true legend! It was such a treat to have you as our guide. You showed us amazing places we never imagined. We climbed mountains and saw temples. Elephants, whales, and turtles were all part of the magic. This trip was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing! Thank you so much. You felt like family by the end. We will definitely be back!

5.00Great experience with Neel. We drove around the country for 2 weeks in a private car. Very flexible and helpful driver with a good sense of humor. Knows his way through Sri Lanka and is happy to give you great restaurant & sight seeing information and advice. Would definitely recommend!
