5.00My husband and I spent 15 days in Colombia and we had a marvelous time.Rather than staying in an hotel, we opted to stay with a family. This is our way of learning the Colombian way of life. We spent the first few days in Cali visiting museums, eating traditional dishes and savoring the numerous delicious and colorful fruits that Colombia produces. We met innovative artists and took pictures of the colorful houses around us in San Antonio. We then visited Buenaventura where we had the opportunity to go whale watching on the Pacific. We then headed to hotel Monaco in Armenia, a strategic location that allowed us to visit Filandia, Salento Valle de cocora, Santa Rosa de Cabral. Public transportation in Colombia is good and very reliable. The dollar is strong against the peso. Therefore, one can do a lot with limited cash. Our ability to communicate in Spanish and having a few friends did allow us to accomplish a lot. However, one can visit alone. Colombia is an amazing place to visit because of its rich culture, friendly people, good food and a temperature that is suited for all. Memorable trip. We cannot wait to return. Best Jessie
