What To Expect
Embark on an unforgettable adventure into the frozen Arctic wilderness with your Korouma Canyon Frozen Waterfalls Tour. Located 110 kilometers southeast of Rovaniemi, the 30-kilometer-long and up to 130-meter-deep Korouoma Canyon offers breathtaking scenery year-round. In winter, its cliffs transform into dazzling ice formations, creating some of Europe's most spectacular frozen waterfalls. Join your guided hike through the canyon, where you'll strap on winter boots to navigate the snowy terrain. Along the way, snap photos of the impressive frozen waterfalls and stunning ice formations. After the hike, warm up with a traditional Finnish campfire snack and hot juice served around a roaring bonfire. Your tour includes professional winter clothing, winter boots, all fees and taxes, private transportation, snacks, and hotel pick-up/drop-off for accommodations outside the city center. This full-day tour, lasting around 7 hours with approximately 5 kilometers of walking, will leave you back in Rovaniemi by 16:00. 5.00We had an incredible experience on our tour, thanks to our fantastic guide, Mirco!!! The pickup was right on time, and from the moment we met him, he was super lovely and chatty, making us feel welcome and entertained throughout the drive there and back. Mirco shared so much knowledge during the trip and explained everything so clearly. His insights into how the frozen waterfalls were formed made the breathtaking scenery even more fascinating and memorable. In addition to this, he even took beautiful photos for us with his camera, capturing memories we’ll cherish forever!! Mirco went above and beyond in every aspect. He even brought vegetarian sausages as part of the BBQ which such a thoughtful and very unexpected touch. He also showed us a photo of the ingredients that he’d translated into English so the three vegetarians on the tour could read it themselves with peace of mind. That level of care and attention really stood out. Mirco is truly a credit to the organisation. The whole trip was phenomenal and the landscape was unreal! Definitely a highlight of our stay. I can’t recommend Mirco and this organisation highly enough!

5.00Great I loved a beautiful place, the agency very good, the wonderful guide super attentive, explained everything, took photos, made the Finnish barbecue our guide Micro, the best guide super recommend, the agency Booklaloand also corresponded all super polite exchanged our day, organized and has the best prices. The Cascades are beautiful, the wonderful path a sensational tours worth super sailing, super recommend

5.00Trekking very nice and not too strenuous, necessary crampons that provide you directly them (if you want they give you free boots and overalls). We stayed in late March so there was both ice and snow. Also very satisfying lunch around the fire with sausages and marshmallows. If you have to ask for a guide, ask for Toni, kind, experienced and helpful.

5.00I was in rovaniemi with my son 12 years and having the opportunity to hike with Mirco made everything more beautiful and serene. Mirco is so patient and kind. We hiked with him the Northern Lights and then the frozen waterfalls. Two different experiences but thanks to her magnificent abilities ☺️

5.00A lovely experience! We also had an excellent guide, Arturo, who was also translating everything into Spanish to better understand it. The route was very simple, without great physical demands, where you enter the middle of the snowy forest and you are discovering majestic icefalls even being March! Amazing! Arturo was explaining many curiosities both of the waterfalls and their formation as the life of the forests, their flora and fauna, etc. already has many notions in his field of study. After the route, we stop for a tasty bbq with lots of sausages and a warm drink typical of here, sweet and with a special aroma. Thank you so much for this beautiful memory that we took, and especially to you Arturo for being so attentive and friendly at all times ✨🤍

5.00The overall tour experience was fantastic. Amazingly beautiful scenery, easy hike in a white, cold Korouoma trail. Our Tour Guide - Mirco is informative and managed the pace of the tour effectively. During the tour, he provided sufficient information/knowledge sharing on items related to the trails , everytime we made a brief stop. Mirco also assisted each participants to take a photo of each group, which is a great help. The group pace, moving from one spot to another, was also kept not to far apart, allowing each participants to enjoy the hike, yet maintaining the overall timeline. This excursion is amongst the ones that you would want to recommend to your friends or family.
