We had a fantastic wilderness ice fishing adventure with Joonas, and it was everything we hoped for and more. He transported us deep into the pristine winter wilderness on his snowmobile pulling a sleigh — an exciting ride in itself! We ended up on a beautiful frozen lake where he has a cozy tipi shelter set up. Joonas was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing the experience. He taught us both traditional net fishing under the ice and classic ice fishing techniques, explaining everything clearly. While we only managed to catch one small fish, he made the entire day feel completely authentic, wholesome, and unforgettable. The peaceful surroundings, the thrill of being out on the vast frozen lake, and his warm hospitality turned what could have been just “fishing” into a true Finnish wilderness memory.
