This is a true aurora hunting tour led by a professional photographer who's photos have been viewed millions of times on social media! Starting from Rovaniemi with a flexible start time, we will drive to a location where the weather models have determined that we will have the best chance of seeing the aurora. Whether it’s half an hour away or deep into Swedish Lapland, I want to see the aurora as much as you do so I’ll make sure to get there!
Once we have located clear skies and aurora, it’s time to enjoy the show and take document all the magic with with my high quality mirrorless cameras and astrophotography lenses. All good photos taken on the night are provided to you at print quality within 2 doys of the tour.

He provides an excellent service by picking us up from our accommodation and taking beautiful professional photos and a fire to keep warm while waiting for the light show! 100% recommend for a more private and flexible tour that provides enough time to see the lights.

5.00Aleksi was really great and very professional throughout our entire aurora hunting experience. At first, we planned to leave at 7:00 PM, but around 6:30 PM he called and asked us to get ready and leave earlier because the aurora was expected to be active earlier that night. Thanks to his experience and careful monitoring of the forecasts, we decided to leave early, and it turned out to be the right decision. In less than an hour of driving, we already stopped by the roadside to watch and take photos of the aurora. The aurora that night was absolutely stunning and far beyond our expectations. Aleksi was very patient and never got tired of helping us take photos, making sure everyone had beautiful pictures to bring home as memories. All the photos he took turned out amazing. He clearly knows the best locations and is very dedicated to checking the statistics and waiting for the perfect moment to get the most beautiful aurora displays. Because of that, we truly felt that we were in good hands throughout the trip. I would highly recommend Aleksi to anyone who is planning to go aurora hunting, as he is experienced, friendly, and truly passionate about what he does.

5.00We booked a tour for a day when the expectations were not that high and there were clouds everywhere, so we drove all the way up to Levi, and we found some faint northern light. So he delivered. Though we loved to see the light much better, so we booked again two days later, drove 4 hours single way to clear skies, but nothing…. So Aleksi offered us a refund or join the next day, so we joined the next day. That’s when things got crazy, drove only 30 minutes out of rovaniemi, and got crazy lights. So, a great experience I would say.

5.00Had a pleasure of booking Rather Chilly, and having knowing Aleksi as our guide! The first night didn’t end up by the aurora Gods , 3hr. drive to Lulea, Sweden & no visible lights at all. But this independent company offers a return money-back or join another tour just to give that Northern lights experience ! (Not all company are doing that). Everything went super smooth, from the initial booking, the pickup, and getting the AWESOME pictures afterwards. Also, letting me borrowed a tripod and teach me how to used dlsr camera too! Aleksi has been really exceptional. His enthusiasm for the Northern Lights is contagious. In just 1 hour of driving ? we reached a frozen lake that was a perfect spot. 11 out of 10 is my strongest recommendation! I would book an experience all over for this company if ever im in Rovaniemi again!!!! I really recommend this tour. Kiitti Kovasti! 🙌 🇫🇮
Disappointing and Unprofessional Aurora Tour

1.00No aurora was visible to the naked eye, and almost nothing appeared on phone cameras — only a tiny spot on the guide’s camera. Despite initially guaranteeing a 90% refund, the guide refused at the end and made unprofessional comments like “What do you expect, that I drive a €10,000 car and give money back?” and “I am not a slave to drive you and give your money back.” The car was freezing cold, and the locations were crowded, basic spots where buses also stop. Other professional guides nearby ended their tours and refunded guests, which says a lot. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and professional aurora company, I would not recommend this one.

1.00Today we went on an aurora hunting tour, but unfortunately nothing was visible to the naked eye. Even on phone cameras, there was barely anything — just a very small spot visible on the guide’s camera. The guide initially guaranteed a 90% refund if we didn’t see the aurora, but at the end of the tour he completely changed his tone and said something like “What do you expect, that I drive a €10,000 car and give money back?” — which felt unprofessional and dismissive. The car was freezing cold, and the locations we were taken to were very basic and crowded, the same places where regular buses bring people. We expected more effort and better spots from a paid “aurora hunting” experience. What made this even more disappointing is that we saw other professional photographers nearby who decided to stop their tours and refunded their guests, clearly showing a higher level of integrity and customer care. If you are looking for a truly professional and trustworthy aurora company, I would not recommend this one.

5.00This experience with Aleksi was absolutely incredible. Of course, we were also very lucky—the conditions that night were perfect. But without his outstanding Northern Lights hunting skills, we would never have experienced such a crazy light show. Aleksi is deeply into the data science behind this Northern Lights phenomenon, which is why he was able to drive us to the best possible spots. The cherry on top was definitely his photographic skills. I was there with my girlfriend, and it was a wonderful gift for her. I would do this experience again anytime!
