We booked a special deal through GetYourGuide for a Monday Northern Lights excursion with Arctic GM, only for them to cancel at 10:00 AM that day due to "poor conditions" and reschedule us to the Tuesday. We were left with little choice but to cancel our other planned activity on Tuesday to accommodate their new slot. Then came the real letdown: on Tuesday, they canceled again at, but this time late at 3:30 PM, once more blaming the weather. This forced us to scramble for a last-minute alternative with another provider - at double the price we originally paid Arctic GM. The most infuriating part? That same evening, while having dinner at the Pure Burger directly across the street from Arctic GM's meeting point, we watched their guests suiting up and heading out for what could only be an evening Northern Lights tour. The weather was perfect, and we ended up having fantastic sightings with our replacement provider. Even more ironic: one of the buses we saw right near our viewing spot was Arctic GM’s, according to our guide. This raises serious questions about the company. It seems the real issue wasn't the weather - I can only assume they simply didn't have enough guides or transport available and prioritised other bookings over those of us who had secured discounted advance spots through GetYourGuide. Leaving customers hanging with repeated last-minute cancellations, especially after forcing schedule changes, is completely unacceptable. The experience was not just disappointing - it was expensive and stressful. We will never book with Arctic GM again and strongly advise others to choose a more reliable operator. One star is generous.

It was just a dream. Forecast was only 10% and we didn't expect the Northern Lights. Us guide, who picked us up at the property, said he was going as far as Sweden to the sea. Duration about 3.5 hours easy. Yes, the sky cleared and after about 30 minutes we had the first stop and saw the first beautiful northern lights. He watched his apps all the time and after a total of 1 hour we reached a hotspot and saw really great Northern Lights. Thanks for the tour, it's worth it

Because of the good reviews booked here and join me 100%. Communication and hunting were great. A total of about 4-5 hours on the road. At a remote place then fantastic pictures taken, about an hour of sky toured. It's wonderful. Thanks to Beata!

A special thanks to our guide Umut that realized our dream driving us to most suitable place to hope to see the Northern lights and finally we saw it! The experience was well organized with punctuality, comfort (artic suits, hot drinks and sweets, warm van), knowledge about Northern lights and special photos. Recommended!

We had an extraordinary experience! Our tour Guide Jose was an amazing and helpful person. He explained how this Aurora hunting works and which parameters are used to predict auroras! We had luck and saw extraordinary auroras in our first time Aurora hunting! We really recommend to go, it is a magical and memorable moment !

An unforgettable Northern Lights tour! The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took us to the best spots away from city lights and made sure everyone was comfortable and warm the whole time

It was really super organized, the team was also super accessible via mail in advance no matter what questions. The tour itself was really good, pickup worked out very well, small group of 8 people and our guide M. was very nice and took good care of we took care of, and the best thing of course was that we spotted the Northern Lights and not just once. I liked it and am so happy that I was able to see the Northern Lights. Thanks for those moments!

According to the official description, this is an “Aurora Hunt” where guides are supposed to drive as long as necessary, even up to two hours from Rovaniemi or across the Swedish border, to find clear skies and the best possible locations. Guides are also meant to actively share knowledge about aurora science, Arctic nature, and local legends, supported by a professional back-office operation. In reality, we were taken to one single location, where we stayed for the entire evening. Upon arrival, we saw a very faint aurora for about two minutes, barely visible with the cameras, and then absolutely nothing for the rest of the night. Despite this, the guides chose to stay at the same spot for over three hours, leaving us standing in the cold (or sitting in the van waiting) with no realistic chance of seeing anything else. We fully understand that Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. However, that night the sky was clear. The problem was not the weather, but a poorly chosen location. Given the strong promises made in the description (hours of driving if needed, “hunting” for clear skies), it was clearly the organizers’ responsibility to try another spot instead of keeping us there doing nothing. The guides added no value to the experience. One of them (I could give his name) spent most of the evening inside the van on his phone, texting friends, instead of engaging with the group, explaining auroras, or sharing anything about Finland or the Arctic environment. We were essentially left waiting in silence, with no guidance or interaction. As for the so-called refreshments, they were very disappointing: an industrial muffin handed out quickly inside the van with no sense of conviviality, and a cheap, overly sweet hot juice of noticeably poor quality. Having experienced similar activities elsewhere, it was obvious this was a low-end product compared to what is usually offered. Overall, this experience did not match the description. It felt like false advertising rather than an authentic aurora hunt. Considering the lack of effort, engagement, and the clear gap between promises and reality, this activity is not worth the price and I would not recommend it.
