This is not a bus tour to a fixed location — it’s a real Northern Lights hunt where we actively search for clear skies, sometimes driving far north or even crossing into Sweden to find the best conditions.
Many tours in Rovaniemi operate with large buses and fixed stops where guests simply wait and hope the sky clears.
We operate small groups (max 8 guests) in a comfortable van, allowing us to stay mobile and react quickly to changing weather and cloud conditions.
Our guides monitor forecasts and aurora activity in real time and adjust the route throughout the evening to find clearer skies.
Some nights the lights appear close to Rovaniemi. On other nights we may drive far north or even cross the border into Sweden where conditions are better.
Aurora Borealis can never be guaranteed, but real aurora hunting is about experience, mobility and making the right decisions to maximize your chances.

5.00Amazing Northern Lights tour! The small group made it feel personal, and our guide (Kami) was truly dedicated to creating a great experience. We even drove a long way to find clear skies, which showed how committed she was to helping us see the Northern Lights. Luckily we didn’t have to wait once we arrived. She also took great photos for us and gave everyone plenty of time to enjoy the moment without rushing. Truly a 5-star experience!

5.00One of the most surreal experience here in lapland. we were taken in two different location and the second one we saw the dancing auroa. our tour guide mikron was very patient in looking for a good location for the aurora and took good photos of us. we eve have hot tea and cookies in the end.we will recomment this tour for everyone coming in lapland

5.00An Unforgettable Aurora Hunting Experience with Kami! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most incredible night chasing the Northern Lights with Kami in Finland! She was extremely professional and dedicated—constantly checking aurora forecasts and adjusting our route to find the best viewing spots. Thanks to her expertise, we were treated to a spectacular display! Kami also took amazing photos of us with her professional camera, capturing memories we’ll treasure forever. Just as we were about to head back, she noticed sudden strong aurora activity and immediately stopped the van. That final half-hour of dancing lights was truly the most breathtaking experience of my life! If you’re looking for a passionate and skilled guide, I highly recommend Kami. An absolutely superb experience!

5.00I booked this tour the morning of my last night in Rovaniemi. I was hesitant because forecast showed it being cloudy despite the high KP index. We did a tour just 2 nights prior with the same conditions and saw only hues of the Aurora and the hunt went from 8pm to 3am (also surprised it was a bus tour with so many people). Deciding on booking regardless since Aurora was the main reason we came so why not, right? Made sure it was a small group tour, which was perfect cuz this tour specifically said max of 8 people. The company messaged me the tour was pushed by to 9pm pick up to get better conditions. I loved how they communicated well. Kami, our tour guide, picked us up and my husband and I were surprised that it was just the two of us during this tour! I guess no one wanted to go out on Valentine’s Day lol. Kami was great! She talked about how Aurora happens and so much more! We learned a lot that we didn’t from our previous tour. We did our first stop and Kami checked it before asking us to go out (so nice for her to do that so we stayed comfortable and warm). She found the Aurora a little over half an hour away from the city center, but it wasn’t that strong. Kami kept in mind and considered that we have seen it and my wish was to see a really strong viewing of it. We did another stop before we arrived our final stop. Another thing that surprised me was that she also took professional pictures for us! I thought I’d be taking photos with my own phone (which I also did of course lol), but the more the merrier, right? We saw the most incredible Aurora. It was so strong and big that it was visible to the naked eye and even records as videos on my phone’s camera. It was exactly as I wished and more. This hunt was the best way to end our Finland trip! Thank you Kami for making it happen! Luck and the Aurora were definitely on our side on this trip!
