Curious to encounter Lapland's most iconic animal and see what life is like on an authentic Lapland reindeer farm? Join our tour as we drive away from the overcrowded tourist sites, to meet and feed these gentle Arctic animals and learn about the history and culture of reindeer herding from our guide/owner, who himself is descendant of a reindeer herding family. After the reindeer meet-up, you'll be able to relax by an open fire with hot drinks and snacks before heading out walking your very own reindeer through the quiet, snowy forest. This slow-paced, small-group tour is designed for comfort and an authentic connection to Lapland’s way of life.

5.00We had an amazing time at White Winter farm. We got to meet and feed so many beautiful reindeer. We were given lots of information about them, and the farm. We were then invited to sit in their kota, and spend time with the whole family. We were treated to delicious homemade pancakes, jam and juice. The highlight for me, was taking one of the young reindeer out for a walk through the fields. What a special experience! The family were all so warm and welcoming, and were already inviting us back again. Highly recommend this activity for a taste of true local life! Until next time... Kiitos! 😊

5.00The guide and his family warmly welcomed the guests. It felt as cozy and comforting as visiting a friend’s home. The experience of feeding snacks to the reindeer on the snowy field and walking through the winter forest with an adorable young reindeer was truly special. It was a beautiful and healing time for the heart. I highly recommend it!

5.00It was just amazing! Amazing family! We were surrounded pure warmth and care! All tours was very relaxed! In the midst of a series of hectic vacation days, it was truly a day of rest. Great people, house made food and drinks! Hand made pancakes, jam and juice from local berries! Friendly talks, a lot of attention and care!! Nice to see all animals treated with love. We could fees them and walk with they! I wish all the best to this wonderful people! I hardly recommend to book this tour if you want to meet good people and see pure life of reindeers ( without commercial influence)!

5.00The farm owners showed us the whole farm and explained everything to us. They were always open for questions, and gave us a really warm and friendly welcome. We had a good impression of how the reindeers are living there and living a good life in space and peace. It didn‘t feel like we were strangers on a tour but visiting old friends. We would really recommend this experience!

5.00Super genuine people, with such a down to earth and wonderful experience. Authentic family-run reindeer farm, so many friendly reindeer to meet and hand feed. Small group sizes make it so personal. Amazing home-made food and great little hut. You get your own walk with one of two reindeer, not crowed by others and just great personal moment. Great experience for anyone visiting to really get to meet these awesome creatures,

5.00An experience that I would recommend to anyone for its authenticity and beauty. Away from mass tourism, where reindeer are only observed behind a fence, this ethical family farm offers something truly special. Run by a very sweet and passionate family, it offers a real approach to Finnish culture and life. The owner's tales are fascinating and demonstrate an extraordinary preparation about reindeer and local traditions. I am happy to have discovered an authentic reality, where respect for animals is concrete and where you can really get in touch with them, living a sincere and meaningful experience.

5.00Anyone looking for an authentic reindeer farm please read on !!!! We booked with White winter Lapland It worked out about £80 per person booked direct We were picked up by Juho from our apartment in rovaniemi and he took us to his family’s reindeer farm about 40 minute drive through some stunning scenery He chatted along the way about the farm , his family and Finland We got to get up close and personal with the reindeers , had feed them and have plenty of opportunities for photos We met his mum and dad who were lovely , his mum provided us with blueberry juice and pancakes all home made and his dad showed us how the markings on the ears were made We warmed up in the lovely kota , talked about life both here and in England We then took one of the reindeers for a walk through a beautiful forest , no rush , no noise , just pure bliss We then warmed back up in the Kota and had more snacks ! We got given a very special souvenir to keep ! Juho then drove us back ti our apartment The whole experience lasted 4 hours We were the only family there , it was amazing You could clearly tell how much love and care goes into the reindeer This is a relatively new company so I was a bit sceptical but honestly the best thing we have done since we got here I already want to go back !

5.00The most magical and wonderful experience, a true highlight of our trip. The kids would rate it 6 stars if they could. The farm is simply lovely, in the middle of nowhere you feel at one with nature. I wanted something that wasn’t commercial, but represented the true Lapland - and that’s what I got! Juho simply couldn’t do enough for us throughout the trip, and his mother and father were so welcoming. We had freshly made pancakes and blueberry juice in the sweetest hut, it is a memory we will never forget. You know you just meet people and they leave a lasting impression - that’s his family, they are wonderful. I wished we could have spent longer at the farm, it was so authentic. The reindeer are the sweetest and so gentle. As a vegan, the care of the reindeer’s was important to me and it’s very obvious they have a wonderful life with this family- they are very much loved. Book this trip, you won’t regret it!

5.00Thinking about doing this…. Just do it! A wonderful authentic reindeer farm in the middle of nowhere, hosted by a fantastic family who have owned it for 50 years. Seeing the reindeer’s in a natural environment was so lovely, the kids adored it. The family couldn’t be more welcoming and kind. We got to spend time with the reindeer and learn about their life. As a vegan animal welfare was important to me, and I could see how loved the reindeer are by the family. A definite highlight of the trip! Juho was an amazing host- thank you so much!
