What To Expect

Ranua Zoo

The tour starts with picking up of the client from the hotel. You will spend unforgetable time in the company of polar animals right near you. Walking distance inside the Zoo is abt. 2.5 km. Firstly, you will meet with the birds and the next part is polar animal in their natural area. After you will have opportunity to have a lunch of traditional Lapland food and buy local sweets from the Fazer local chocolate fabrics shop.

Had a great time at the Zoo. Great communication from Alex about pick ups and timings were perfect. Managed to see all the animals out and about doing things so it was a very fun experience.

We had a great day at the zoo, we chose Uncle Alex tours. He picked us up from our accomodation at the time he said, he drove us to the zoo where we got our tickets & Alex took pictures of ourselves for us. The Zoo was well laid out with wooden paths most of the way.He gave us a time to be back at the bus & we made our way back to our accomodation

This tour was great! Small group and great driver. He gave us plenty of time in the zoo and to also get a meal and warm drink afterwards. The bears were hibernating - not the tours fault at all. Just life 😃 still very worth it though.

The main attractions like polar bear and arctic fox etc. were not available. It was not a guided tour. Better take a taxi and buy tickets there only

Alex was great turned up at our hotel on time and drove us to and from the zoo. He provided hot coffee for our journey which was very welcome as it was cold outside. We were very happy with his service.

Alex is such a friendly and fun tour guide! I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a good day trip to Rauna Zoo. He spotted some reindeers on the way for us and his snacks were lovely too. He made our rainy start to the day warm and cosy with his company. Thank you so much!

Uncle Alex was a fantastic host, prompt, friendly and patient. He even slowed and stopped on the way there and back so we could photograph wild reindeer. The park is a great little find with some really interesting arctic wildlife. I would highly recommend both Alex and Ranua Wildlife Park.

Sighting the polar bear, the brown bear, the wolf pack and the lynx was priceless. There could be a caution given to bring insect/ mosquito repellent.
