This was a great tour! Tony took us on a leisurely one hour drive across Grenada to the distillery on the other side. His love of Grenada, its culture, and people was obvious in his discussions along the way. Patsy gave us a very in depth tour of the distillery, and it was amazing to see how today’s hands on production follows the traditions laid down in history. On top of that, the rum was strong and tasty!! If you like rum, but especially if you are a distiller, you need to visit this distillery!! Make sure you specify the old distillery, not the new one—Clarkes!!

I traveled to Grenada with my sister Daphne in late August. She had been raving about a chocolate and rum distillery tour since we touched down and insisted that we booked with Vision Tours Grenda. Tony was our tour guide, and I can honestly say that upon entering the vehicle, to dropping us off at our hotel, we talked NON-STOP! It was simply like chatting or catching up with an old friend/mentor. We discussed everything from our life experiences, including marriage, cultural differences, religion, food, and most importantly the history of Grenada. Once arriving at the distillery, the staff was amazing! Would highly recommend purchasing a few bottles of the >75% rum to take home as a souvenir. Overall experience 10/10. Tony, thank you for sharing your wisdom, humor, and life experience in general. We are forever grateful. The whole experience was delightful. Hoping to see you in the near future in Grenada!

If you love history this distillery is a must! It is a bit of a drive but Tony takes a beautiful scenic route. Tony gave an excellent tour and we will be sure to use him again when we return to the island!!!

Whilst there are other Rum distilleries this really is the original authentic local rum. Everything is still done in the traditional way that it was when started in 1785! All by hand and just 500 bottles per week. Only two types 69% or 75% proof! We can only bring the weaker rum home! Very well explained by our guide and fascinating to see round

No visit to the Caribbean is complete without a trip to one of the rum distilleries, unless you are teetotal of course. We visited the River Antoine Rum Distillery They still do it the old fashioned way. The whole process is fascinating, although my husband prefers the Westerhall Rums.

Informative. Beautiful. Fun. Changed some of my views on the chemistry of making rum! I wish I could have taken more rum home with me.
