Times have been tough! As Sonoma County reopens we believe it is more important than ever to get outside and get moving! So... Let us show you the gorgeous and rugged Sonoma Coast! We meet and begin kayaking in the small seaside town of Jenner. After a brief safety talk and paddling instruction, we hit the water and explore the beautiful Russian River where it joins the Pacific Ocean. Your guide will enthusiastically discuss the area's history, wildlife, landscape, seasons, and whatever else you can possibly think of. Questions are highly appreciated and looked forward to by our staff. The paddling is gentle and we keep our eyes open for a variety of wildlife including river otters, pelicans, osprey, and curious harbor seals. We will land on the beach and check out the ocean before getting back in the boats and heading back to Jenner. Your guide can offer great recommendations for other beaches and options in the area for you to continue your day of adventure. All gear used by guests is sanitized by our staff after every tour.

This morning kayak tour of the Russian River is a peaceful and beautiful way to spend time with natural beauty and gain an appreciation of more than the grapes of this region. Erik is a warm and engaging guide who takes the stress out of connecting with nature through kayaking whether you’re a deeply experienced paddler or a newbie. His genuine love for this landscape and its wildlife is infectious as he shares insight into the history of the shaping of the surrounding town and how commerce altered the landscape to what is current. He has a wonderful grasp of the local birds, mammals and aquatic species and can easily answer curious questions about fauna encounters. We were lucky enough to see many species of birds- including more than 70 pelicans on their migratory path to Baja. And of course the seals! Their adorable heads pop up as they curiously sneak peeks of visitors paddling by so close you can see their eye lashes. Erik knows all the best spots on the river to maximize viewing. This misty morning is my second trip with Erik as I first booked a trip with my sister visiting from afar in early summer, then a second trip in the fall as a birthday present for a dear friend. Both trips were calming and the most beautiful way to begin a day. Erik snaps lots of photos then send you a link so you don’t have to pull yourself from the moment to fumble with your phone. This tour is a gift and a great alternative or addition to the food and wine experiences abundant in wine country. Do yourself a favor and take a couple hours to connect with nature, those your with, and yourself and book this tour!

Great Trip with Erik at the mouth of the Russian River. Learned a lot about the area and its history, and enjoyed a leisurely paddle while checking out the local critters- Erik also gave us some tips for lunch and exploring the coast

If you are in the Russian River area, this is the kayak tour to take. Eric was a great guide and highlighted lots of birds, trees, and other wildlife along the way. He also had other recommendations of things to do while in the area. Would highly recommend.

I am so happy we did this. We were on our honeymoon in Napa and Sonoma mainly to drink wine but wanted to get some other activities in. Although it was rainy, we hopped into kayaks and paddled about 4 miles up and down the Russian River. It was so much fun, we learned A LOT, and Eric the tour guide was soo informational, kind, and funny. We saw a ton of SEALS!! They came right up to our kayaks!!! It was awesome!! Also Eric took photos for us the whole time which was great.

Erik is amazing. I truly hope he writes an account of local history some day. Aside from being a knowledgeable tour guide, he’s funny and engaging, great with kids. He let our older kid try single kayaking (and towed them when they needed help). He also puts his phone at dire risk to get great photos of you (ask him how many he’s lost!). When you go - and you should - layers are important! You may start out cold and end up warm, or vice versa. Erik has waterproof pouches for keys, but I recommend getting a floating lanyard for your phone with a camera window. This was our second trip with him. It was just as wonderful as the first. This was a different season, and we experienced seals learning to swim, otters playing, and even the first bobcat of the season. It’s a fantastic location and wonderful guide.

Erik was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. 2 1/2 hours went by in a flash. Would highly recommend. You don't need to be a skilled kayaker.

This was such a delightful experience to cap off our time in Sonoma County! You really see all the different natural parts of this area. Erik was warm, engaging, and super knowledgeable. Physically easy and completely relaxing activity. The seals, birds, etc. were very cool to identify. Definitely add this to your itinerary!

What a treat this morning was. Paddling through misty foggy mountain ranges surrounded by a variety of birds and sea mammals, all with an amazing tour guide (Erik) made this trip to Jenner a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

This was the best day yet.. the adventures keep coming! We selected this tour because of the reviews and so we were not surprised by the service and skill of our guide Erik. But, he still exceeded my expectations, I was very impressed with his serious, yet care-free calmness! Thanks for the kind words and history lessons! So far your recommendations have been spot on!
