Named the 'Unspoiled Queen', Saba is an eco paradise and quite the getaway for avid divers, hikers and nature enthusiasts. She is as beautiful on top as she is underneath. The journey is 75-90 minutes, and docks in Fort Bay, the only proper access to the sea on Saba. Saba is sheer cliffs on all sides, and even the old slave path still remains where goods were offloaded for transport to the villages by donkey.

This was an INCREDIBLE experience! The only reason I am leaving 4 stars and not 5 is because it was a little misleading that snorkeling would be an option. Truly this is the ferry over, taxi tour who is very knowledgeable and stops at a lot of beautiful places for photos, lunch was FABULOUS- 5 stars, time to hike (up a very steep trail) or shop in town then return ferry. Saba is unspoiled but an amazing experience. You won’t forget it!

The taxi ride may be a little much for individuals with anxiety, due to the narrow roads, dual direction traffic and steep cliffs with short concrete barriers. I am a seasoned traveler and was like “whoa,” at times. The views are amazing and lunch was very good though. We thought our driver was a little disrespectful and overstepped his boundaries by basically telling us that it was ok for our son to be rude, because he needs to figure it out for himself. Overall, we are glad we went for the experience, but it was not our favorite tour.

The island tour with Rodney was very good. Interesting island history and beautiful scenery. Lunch was good and great service. 90 minutes ferry ride was good but if you get seasick, wear a patch. It was a lovely day except for one thing which is why 4 instead of 5 stars. We checked in on time but were given the wrong tickets. Luckily my husband noticed our ride was loading but when we tried to board, we’re told we were on the wrong one. They did straighten it out but acted like it was our fault despite them being the ones who made a mistake. I understand mistakes can happen but no one said sorry for the inconvenience. And we would have missed it if not paying attention. Loading is a bit chaotic and could definitely use improvement.

First of all, the staff and everyone associated with the trip were great. It fell apart once we arrived on Saba. Being one of the last to go through customs and having to use the restroom, the taxi left without us and had to come back. The driver remarked he was a last minute substitution and the count changed from 5 to 7 to 9. The ‘taxi’ which was a van, did not have enough room for everyone that booked. My husband had to sit on an end jump seat, that is not comfortable for an adult. Aqua Mania should have either booked another van or declined to take additional reservations. The passengers in the back couldn’t hear what the driver was describing about the island. We stopped at a church to see a mural over the alter and an overlook. We also stopped in the community at the top and spent 15 minutes walking around. Then, off to lunch. We were dropped off at 12:30 and told we’d be picked up at 3:00. Lunch took about 1 hour and we sat there waiting for the van. I feel there could have been so much more to see on the island to experience the culture. A word of caution which has nothing to do with Aqua Mania, it’s a rough ferry crossing to Saba. If you get seasick, just don’t do it! You can take a plane that’s a 12 minute flight instead of 90 minutes in rough sees. Going out about 1/3 of the people were sick. The crew was phenomenal taking care of them. All in all, when we docked in Simpson Bay, my husband said ‘that was a day from hell’.

The boat ride was smoother than expected but still a bit rocky. The tour was beautiful and food was delicious! We were able to have a couple hours for lunch and walking around town for souvenirs and sightseeing and that was probably my favorite part! Would definitely recommend 😁

They cancelled on me the day before. We were really looking forward to this family trip and day before called and said boat not working. They should have had another boat option

Beware of booking with this company. We had both a diving excursion and ferry to Saba booked with Aquamania and they cancelled both on us. We had to scramble to make other arrangements. Mechanical and staffing issues prevented them from offering their services.

Beautiful boat trip across to Saba from Simpson Bay. 1.5 hour trip by ferry. Once on the island you have to pass customs. We booked the ferry, and taxi with a packed lunch to do the Mount Scenery trail up to the top. Unfortunately we feel we were very rushed to complete the hike and get back to boat on time. We would recommend the tour gives you at least 30 min / an hour more so you can enjoy the hike and views.

Okay first off Trip Advisor update your posting about this excursion. If you get sea sick or car sick stop reading now. If not this was 10/10 incredible. First off you will get a call telling you to go to the police station, this is wrong so trip advisor please update. You meet at Aqua Mania Adventures and Simpson Bay resort and check in. All very organized, then you take the boat over takes about an hour and 1/2. The boat is rocky and hot so bring zofran and a fan but you get beer and drinks and the crew was great. Once you get there you check into customs at Saba and meet your taxi driver who is also your tour guide. We got paired with a total of 8 of us (who before going had zero clue what we really signed up for) Michael our tour guide was amazing we spent up until noon seeing the island, all the villages, the airport, hells gate and even a local glass blowing artist. The views are insane. Then we had a great lunch which was included. From there you can hike for about an hour or go explore the city and then meet the taxi driver for one more tourist stop then back to customs. The roads are straight up so if you get car sick be prepared. Bring water if you want to hike. We absolutely loved it though and would recommend it.
