Ever since I read Call of the Wild at age 10 I wanted to do dogsledding and 50 years later my daughter and I went. I have done a lot of travel in my time in many remote places around the world but this was the ultimate exhilaration! This tour group in particular is very professional- we did the vip tour meeting puppies, learning about their personalities, assisting with placing the dogs and an hour of pure fun dogsledding with our tour guide Ash. I cannot thank them enough- indescribable, very aware to notify of bump and curves in the road to ensure total safety, fantastic efforts by the guide to capture on video the experience while we “hold on”. So well done just so grateful. Later in the day we booked a northern lights with dinner tour with the same provider Alaska wilderness adventures after our other tour to Murphy dome to Murphy dome got cancelled and once again we experienced total professionalism to ensure a great experience. I can’t recommend this group highly enough- so very grateful and thankful to you all.

We had an absolutely brilliant time with Thorsten, Peggy and Jeremy from Alaska Wilderness Adventures. They had organized a fantastic tag sled tour for the four of us. Following an introduction and instructions on how to run the sledge we took turns running the sledges ourselves which was brilliant. It was a great experience and we learnt a lot about what it takes to actually run a dog team. Our teenagers kids loved hanging out with the super friendly dogs at the kennel before and after. At the end of a beautiful and exciting trek cookies and a hot chocolate was waiting for us. Alaska Wilderness Adventures is a great, serious and very experienced team that we highly recommend. Jeremy took us on a 13 mile tag sled ride. It was by far the highlight of our trip. Very patient teacher. He and owners love their dogs and you get the full experience. He was great at sharing how it all works so you leave having a great understanding of this beautiful sport, The facilities were clean and Torsten very helpful when scheduling and both he and his wife greeted as well. A rare find and well worth it.

This was an amazing experience and unlike anything we’ve done. The owners were so sweet and our guide, Jeremy was so kind and helpful. The dogs were so awesome to interact with and the 14 miles of trails was so exhilarating and beautiful!!!

Pick up and drop off was smooth, and my clothings were kinda not enough for sledding so they let me use whole outfits (boots, jumpsuits, jumper and gloves). The sledding itself was very long and satisfying!! I don’t remember how long exactly that was but felt like 50mins. They will teach you how to control the sled, it’s not that difficult, and a handler will come with you so you don’t have to worry about it too much. Before going out to sled, you will get to greet very friendly Alaskan Huskies and some puppies as well!! After the sledding, they gave me hot chocolate and cookies in a warm cabin. Everything was well provided. I am just a young girl traveling solo, was worried but they took good care of me!! Thank you so much Peggy, Matt and Torston!! I think this tour is very worth the price!! Also if you’re a dog lover it’s a heaven ;)

We got the full experience of a championship dog musher! Our guide, Torsten, has placed top in the longest dog mushing races in the world, like the Yukon Quest. He is extremely knowledgable and loves his dogs. We were able to learn how to set up the sled and then mushed for 14 miles through the gorgeous alaskan wilderness. Truly a once in a lifetime experience!

Our guide Matt was incredible. I would recommend this event and would certainly do it again. Matt was very knowledgable and also gave some guidance on local places to dine at.

We had a great time dog sledding! It was a unique adventure with just my partner, myself, and Torsten. Torsten took his time on the ride and didn't rush us at all (even when we tipped over!). We got to pet the dogs until we were ready to take off. We watched the sunrise over the valley which was magical and sled for 3.5 hours. It was fun learning how to "drive" the sled. Afterwards, we enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate overlooking the valley from Alaska Wilderness Adventures' yurt. Beautiful scenes throughout and a wonderful experience of a lifetime. We highly recommend.
