We offer a unique humpback whale watching experience on Moorea Island, with a limited and personalized approach to ensure comfort, safety and respect for animals.
What sets us apart:
ONLY 6 PEOPLE are allowed to swim in the water with the whales, always accompanied by an experienced and Certified local Guide.
4 additional people can participate in the excursion as observers from the boat, at a reduced rate.
This formula allows everyone to live the experience according to their desires, while maintaining a peaceful and privileged atmosphere on board.
The objective: an authentic meeting, supervised, and in small committee, to create lasting memories in total respect for marine nature.

What To Expect
Aboard a new and comfortable boat, go in search of the humpback whales, the peaceful giants that return to their birthplace in the warm waters of Moorea every year. More than an excursion, it is an intimate encounter with nature, guided by an experienced captain and a certified local guide, both deeply rooted in Polynesian culture and animated by a deep respect for life. Here, no rush. We observe, we listen, we feel. In the silence of the sea, you may discover the powerful breath of a whale, the leap of a dolphin, or the discreet graze of a globiclephalon. Each trip is unique, dictated by the ocean. The respectful launch will offer you a rare and upsetting immersion. Back in the turquoise lagoon, a tray of tropical fruits and a cold or hot drink await you on board. All in a soft musical atmosphere, rocked by Moorea colors. - 4h tour: 7h to 11h or 12h to 16h - 6 people maximum - Drinks and snacks included -Internet connection offered during the tour

5.00What an incredible experience!!! My wife actually found this company on Reddit. They should be more well known because they are amazing. At first I was unsure but we read the reviews and tried it out. This was one of the highlights of our honeymoon trip and a once in a lifetime experience. We saw 2-3 whales in the water up close and got great photos and footage. Also saw a bunch of whales from the boat. Remarkable experience. It was also harder to swim in the ocean against the current then I thought and I am an experienced swimmer. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and would recommend to anyone.

5.00Fantastic experience. Comprehensive and clear briefing, all rules adhered to and felt very safe. Explanations of whales behaviour was excellent. 4 encounters in the water, magical. 1 male, 2 females, 2 calves. I got some great footage myself. Highly recommend. Boat got me back to cruiseline in time too.

5.00This tour was absolutely amazing! The guides gave in depth education on the whales and made the experience so amazing. We were so lucky and got to swim with a mama and calf. By far the coolest experience ever. Guides were great, knowledgeable, respectful, and so kind. Made our honeymoon amazing! They only take 6 swimmers due to regulations, which is awesome because some other companies will do 12 - 2 groups of 6. This was a local husband/wife duo, they are so fun! Guides have a GoPro they will share the photos with you as well. You will have the best time! Book this tour!

5.00This was the best experience I had on my trip to Moorea and Tahiti. It exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Top reason: our guides Averii, who captained, and Veroarii, who was in the water with us. Super knowledgeable, chill, and absolutely on top of every aspect of the trip. The safety briefing was on point, and their concern for everyone’s safety and the whale’s safety was obvious. I went in the afternoon w a small group of 6 in the first week of Oct. We found amenable whales right away. The swimming was intense in that we were in the water and on the move for a while. One member our party was not the most confident swimmer and had a little panic in the water. The way this was handled (kindly, firmly, and competently) was super - Veroarii put her on the safety board and essentially towed her for that portion of the adventure which meant that everyone got to hang with whales. He took video and was kind enough to share it afterwards. And after an hour in the water with whales, we regrouped and went snorkeling at the small private moto thats near the harbor and used to be a fish preserve - an additional bonus and some of the best snorkeling I did in FP. Theor overall concern for everyone realky stood out, as did their overwater boating and guiding skills. If you’re going to go, go with these people. They’re the best.

5.00I loved it!! Swimming with whales was something I never thought I'd do and the Moorea Reo crew did an amazing job to make it possible. Our guide had tons of experience and knew exactly when and how to move around to be able to see the whales. We even saw the whale jumping up high right in front of us and that was breathtaking. I highly recommend Moorea Reo, I would totally trust them again because they definitely have a lot of experience.

5.00On the Website it is super well explained what you have to take with you and that you have to be seaworthy. If you are not, appropriate tablets should be taken. The couple who offer the tour are from the island, which is what made us decide to do the tour with them. They welcomed us in the marina and took us to their super boat. After a very good briefing on the whales and the behaviour in the water, we started and barely out of the harbour we were already surrounded by dolphins. We actually found a whale mother with a calf and were able to snorkel with them longer. The whole thing requires a certain fitness, since a lot of snorkeling has to be done. For us it was a unique experience with a great team. We can highly recommend Moirea Reo Tours
