Buddhist Monastery Visit & Water Blessing: Your experience begins with a comfortable drive through the peaceful Siem Reap countryside to reach one of the region’s oldest monasteries. Upon arrival, your guide will explain the meaning of the ritual and the etiquette for entering the sacred space. Inside the monastery, you will take part in a traditional Cambodian water blessing ceremony. The monks perform two forms of blessings: Light Water Blessing Monks chant harmoniously while sprinkling blessed water over you, offering wishes for good luck, safe travels, and long life. Full Water Blessing (Traditional Ritual) Bowls of blessed water are poured over your head and back as monks continue chanting. A sarong is provided to keep your clothing dry. After the blessing, a monk ties a red cotton bracelet (sai sin) on your wrist a symbol of protection, health, and spiritual harmony.

Our driver was a lovely fellow with reasonable English. He spoke knowledgably about the sights and took us to a restaurant that was reasonably priced. Happy to deviate to show us sights not on the main drag, he also told us that he was happy to stop for photos along the way. Our trip was from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh and took around 5 hours with stops. The vehicle was one of those luxury cars with seats that had arm rests and loads of leg room. He supplied us with water. Would recommend this company to anyone.
