The journey ends with the stunning panoramas of the Río de la Plata as the sun sets on the horizon.

What To Expect

The Sommelier‘s Voyage is a 4-hour private sailing experience, where you will taste local wines and discover an uncaptured side of Buenos Aires and its landscape. A seasoned crew will navigate you through your journey, setting sail in the afternoon and heading out into the famous Río de La Plata. We meander along the river, taking our time to anchor at scenic spots and soak in the views. Our experienced Sommelier will lead on a tasting of handpicked wines, taking you on a voyage through some of Argentina’s diverse wine varieties and indulging in its flavours and aromas. In between tastings, tapas-style light bites are served, all sourced from artisanal local producers. The journey concludes with stunning panoramas of the Rio de la Plata as the sun sets on the horizon.

It was a grandiose experience with excellent explanations about the 4 wines we were allowed to taste. The drinks board also begged exquisitely. The captain certainly did his best to give us a very nice and romantic sailing trip during sunset.

Santiago (Santi) and his captain were incredible! From the moment we stepped on the boat to the moment we got off, they were attentive to every individual need and made the entire experience an absolute pleasure. My whole family had an amazing time. The wine selection, food, music, and conversation were all thoughtfully customized to our preferences. Anyone visiting Buenos Aires and looking for a unique, unforgettable view of the city should absolutely consider this experience — it’s truly one you won’t forget!

Great team building activity! The experience is definitely worth it! Fun to be out on the water with Santiago who is very knowledgeable about Argentinian wines. Good conversation, great food and wines! And of course a great sunset over the water with views of Buenos Aires from the water. Thank you Santiago!

Santi and Hugo are simply the best! The most thoughtful touches and hospitality imaginable. They made the boat cruise truly spectacular by incorporating personal details such as our favorite songs and tailored plates. If you are a couple or a group of friends going to Buenos Aires, this is an absolute must do! Worth every penny and would do it again in a heartbeat. Dying to try the asado!

My husband and I had an amazing time doing the sailing with wine tasting in Buenos Aries! Santiago was absolutely wonderful. We were originally scheduled for a day that had rain and he was able to accommodate us the next day. He even delivered 2 bottles of wine to our hotel that we purchased from our outing! He definitely went above and beyond and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Buenos Aries!

It was our second time with an Authentic BA experience, yet it still exceeded our expectations! Santi is an incredible host, super knowledgeable, communicative, kind, and funny. He asked about our wine preferences ahead of time to inform his choices… which ended up being incredible. He also offered us light bites and an empanada-making tutorial to round out the night! The sailboat captain Hugo was equally as lovely, funny, professional, and very skilled. We will probably make this our tradition every time we return to BA! Thank you Santi and Hugo.
