5.00It was an interesting contrast between two such different monuments — the gorgeous Sainte Chapelle and the sturdy, imposing prison/old palace where Marie Antoinette and others stayed before their executions during the French Revolution. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of historical insight into both structures and the time periods during which they were built and most active.
