Salem's history is stranger and more thrilling than most people realize — and that's exactly what this tour is about.
You'll join a true life-long Salem local to walk the streets where the 1692 Witch Trials actually unfolded. Discover what made a community turn on each other. Hear ghost stories tied to the beautiful architecture along the route. See Hocus Pocus movie stops - and then, we'll take you somewhere most Salem tours don't go: the city's maritime past, its role in the American Revolution, and the question nobody thinks to ask — why are there no Sheriff's located in Salem anymore? Every tour ends with time for questions and insider recommendations for where to eat, shop and explore by request. We look forward to meeting you at the tour's start point: The East India Fountain at 158 Essex St Salem, MA 01970. This tour runs 60-90 minutes depending on pacing times and needs. This is an outdoor only walking tour, we do not go inside any buildings. See you in Salem soon!

I found this tour on recommendation from a friend who was in Salem last month. It really exceeded my expectations! Our guide was very authentic with witch trial history, but was able to answer all our non witch trial questions as well (Salem has so much other history, we've been doing our own reading and were really curious). I would send anyone to this company wanting to have fun and get a lot of good info.

Worth it! Salem has a TON of tours, I wasn't sure to book this one at first due to small amount of reviews, but this is a very thorough company, they take Salem seriously. I will be taking this one again when I come back with my mother for her birthday!

So far this has been our favorite thing we've done on our two week road trip! We had a guide who was so informative. We got to learn about so much in a pretty short period of time. She was also great about making sure we had time for photos. We also got a lot of recommendations on where to eat, what to see which was helpful. Only thing, we wish Salem's shops etc stayed open later!

This was the highlight of our family's time in Salem! The guide was able to entertain and connect with all ages (3 years,9 years,14 and 16 years,21 years). Myself, my husband and our adult siblings! Gave us a new perspective on Salem and it's history

Booked this last minute without doing much research, it worked out really well! I'm glad I took this tour when I first arrived in Salem, it gave a good overview of the area and things to do, helped me maximize my time.

I booked this tour as a team outing for work, there were 30 of us. Many of us work remotely around the country and had never been to Salem, so we decided to make a day trip from our meeting/retreat in Boston. This tour was the perfect activity to get the most out of our time. The guide was entertaining, answered all our questions, and we saww a lot of downtown. Wear good walking shoes, Salem is an old city with lots of brick and cobblestone.

My husband and I have been to a lot of Salem tours over the years (we visit a few times a year from NY) but this one really stands out, it was more authentic (a real local), deeper takes on some of the history, but still has the ghost stories and good natured jokes. Lot's of locals recs too which is important when you're visiting from out of town! I felt like I finally got the real insider experience of Salem, lol!
