What To Expect
Valle del Cocora
With Transporte y Turismo del Eje we leave from the agreed location, we make stops along the way upon request, we will arrive at the Cócora Valley, where we begin a walk accompanied by a bilingual tour guide, we enter the palm forest and we will be able to enjoy total nature. This place is also the habitat of the majestic condor of the Andes.
Salento
We will return to the vehicle and we will head towards Salento, in the town you will be able to walk along the royal street where, in addition to its typical colonial facades, its imposing balconies, its friendly people, you will also see the Crafts and local commerce that is another of its attractions.

4.00I’ll be honest there were definitely good and bad parts of this tour. I only had one day in Quindio region. My flight was changed the night before but luckily, my guide Juan Pablo and driver, Jorge were able to adapt their schedule. They were at the airport ready for me as soon as the plane landed. Both were very friendly and engaged in conversation. We stopped for a small breakfast then we went on to Valle de Cocora. It was beautiful to see the tallest wax palms in the world. The region is very green and luscious. Juan Pablo took lots of great pictures of me which was helpful since I was a solo traveler. We visited the Coffee farm which was very interesting. I never knew the process for growing coffee and you learn how it all works from bean to cup. Now for the bad part. Juan Pablo was on his phone most of the time, answering questions from other travelers interested in tours. I appreciate the hustle because we’re all trying to make that bread but I also paid for a private tour and felt like I was being ignored at times. After the Valle de Cocora, I was still full from breakfast but Juan Pablo insisted we could stop for lunch and there was time in our schedule. The restaurant was okay but they did overcharge me by 50 percent. Juan Pablo said we could go back and say something to management which I appreciated but it was really a few dollars and wasn’t worth arguing over to me. Then Juan Pablo told me we had to go because we had to rush over to the coffee farm. We did the coffee farm tour and then had about half an hour left to visit Salento. By the time we got there, it was dark and it was still great to see but I think it would have been better to view during the day. I was annoyed because I wasn’t hungry for lunch and we could have skipped that stop altogether and visited Salento during the day. I made it back to the airport just in time for boarding which seemed unnecessarily stressful. Overall I think it was worth it because it’s such a beautiful region and I got door to door service but I think time management could be improved.

5.00We loved this tour! Our guide Diana was so informative and crafted the perfect day in the Cocora Valley, Salento, and at a coffee farm. She gave us a great overview of the history of the region and was a delight to be around. She took great photos, too! I'd recommend doing this tour on a weekday like we did as the locations weren't overly crowded. Our driver Carlos got us where we needed to go safely and on-time. The coffee tour was really informative, too, and it culminated with a delicious coffee tasting.

The Cocora Valley is magnificent, it deserves to be toured... the coffee farm with tasting and guided tour, super recommended and the villages of Salento and Philandia very beautiful. Excellent service from our guide Dahiana, who accompanied us at all times, gave us a lot of information and was aware of any details. Super gentle! Likewise driver Edwin, very attentive and nice. Hopefully we can revisit the Coffee Axis.

5.00Fue una gran experiencia. Dahiana fue nuestra guía y Martín Jaramillo, nuestro conductor. En primer lugar, fue excelente que nos recogieran en el hotel por la mañana y que al regreso nos dejaran en el aeropuerto para continuar nuestro viaje. En segundo lugar, tanto Dahiana como Martín gestionaron muy bien el tiempo en cada sitio, asegurándose de que pudiéramos completar la visita a los tres lugares según lo planeado. Dahiana conoce muy bien todos los sitios, y su información fue excelente para comprender tanto la historia como la naturaleza del lugar. Martín es un conductor que maneja con seguridad y confianza, lo que nos hizo sentir muy seguros y cómodos durante todo el recorrido. El Valle del Cocora nos permitió apreciar la fauna y flora de Colombia. Salento fue una hermosa parada para observar la arquitectura de los pequeños pueblos, y finalmente, el tour del café ofreció una explicación excelente sobre el proceso de producción del café. Considero que es una experiencia sumamente valiosa para comprender la vida, la historia, la biodiversidad y las principales industrias de Colombia. / This tour was a great experience. First, it was excellent that they picked us up at the hotel in the morning and, upon our return, dropped us off at the airport so we could continue our trip. Second, both Dahiana and Martín managed the time at each location very well, ensuring that we could visit all three places as planned. Dahiana is very knowledgeable about all the sites, and her information was excellent in helping us understand both the history and nature of the area. Martín is a driver who operates with safety and confidence, which made us feel very secure and comfortable throughout the journey. The Cocora Valley allowed us to appreciate Colombia’s fauna and flora. Salento was a beautiful stop to observe the architecture of small towns, and finally, the coffee tour provided an excellent explanation of how coffee is produced. I believe it’s a truly valuable experience to understand the life, history, biodiversity, and main industries of Colombia.

5.00Daniel was our driver and Eduar was our guide. This was by far the best tour! The beauty, history, and sights were unbelievable. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for the hills, but it is all worth it. Salento was colorful and inviting. We had lunch at Laurita and it was the best Colombian food.

Our guide Dahiana Andrew could not do better, very nice and attentive with us at all times, explained a lot of things and helped us with everything, a guide 10. Mr. José Miguel Rudd Rosero was our driver throughout the tour. Friendly, prudent in driving, detailed and with an impeccable vehicle, made the experience unforgettable. Recommended 100%
