This is home to countless Greater and Lesser Flamingos and other bird species such as Great White Pelicans, Marsh Sandpiper, Caspian Tern and Three-banded Plover
Walvis Bay Esplanade
Scenic drive along the Walvis Bay lagoon witnessing countless numbers of flamingos and other bird life. Driving past the Walvis bay salt woks and stop for a selfie at the beautiful pink water lakes.

5.00Enjoyed feeling like a tourist in my own country. Spectacular tour with a small group (just me and one of my family members). Pick-up from our hotel in Swakopmund, lovely food with sparking wine and a variety of other drinks. More than enough photo opportunities with an excellent guide. Would definitely recommend.

5.00This is a unique and fantastic tour, which you should not miss, when you are around Walvis Bay. The landscape and animals are great! We even saw whales from the car and the beach, where our tasty picnic took place. Our guide was very knowledgeable, could answer all our questions. He really turned this tour into something special for us. Best tour ever!!!

5.00Very nice half day tour from Swakopmund (pick up at the hotel). In small group (2jeep with 3 persons/jeep + driver). We appreciated the professionalism of our driver with all the explanations throughout our 4x4 ride. The scenery is beautiful , and we have time to take pictures / video on the most iconic spots. Lunch was suitable for our small group (some were intolerant of certain things) and the drink was with or without alcohol (sparkling-beer-soft). In short a beautiful afternoon with beautiful memories!

5.00It is often very easy to get to get complacent about tours, especially when you end up doing a number in a short space of time. This was the stand-out exception. From the very outset (we were met bang on time!) our guide, Raynold, was engaging, interesting and just thoroughly good company. The tour took us around the key sites of Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbour and at no stage did it disappoint. Keeping ahead of the crowds we were given a fascinating insight into this rugged and stunningly beautiful environment. A real highlight was the picnic on the dunes; I cannot think of a more stunning location to have a glass of bubbles. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this tour. In a country of many highlights this is right up there!

5.00À must do when you are in Swakopsmund. The trip was extraordinary and unique. Monley, our guide and owner of Namibia Dream safaris and tours was just top! He gave lots of explanations about the dunes, wildlife, driving through the dunes,… Nice person and you feel comfortable and relaxed when crossing the dunes and descending a 60 degre dune 😅

5.00When we were shot down by a subcontractor at the cruise terminal, we had only a little stubborn, as our guide pulled up with an ageing 4WD. Well, we prefer the "classics" anyway compared to the soulless cars, which are optimized for design instead of function. In addition, we did not have to share the pleasantly air-conditioned vehicle with any other travellers. But actually we couldn't have drawn a better lot than our freelancer Jannie from "Namibia Bundu Bashing" and his Tojota LandCruiser, 4.5l, 6-cylinder petrol. Jannie (a 61-year-old, lovable strong white) mastered his vehicle in incredible fashion. When he reduced the tire pressure to 0.6 bar before entering the desert, we already realized that the following 5 hours would include some exciting moments. At the first dune of the park, the exhaust is torn off directly behind the manifold. Our driver was visibly uncomfortable - with permission: We found it great - because now the ride was not only reminiscent of a roller coaster ride in nature - now the ride also had the sound of a stock car race. Despite the most extreme driving maneuvers, we never felt remotely unsafe. It also made itself no nausea or similar spread - which our Jannie probably also enjoyed. We believe as compensation for the faux-paux with the exhaust, he went up a notch for us. We can recommend the tour with all its scenic highlights, as well as our driver and his car unconditionally and would urge friends to book exactly this tour with "Namibia Bundu Bashing" and Jannie. Every detail was explained to us enthusiastically, every hotspot was shown and many wildlife were tracked down for us. At the end, there was still delicious food and drink at a picnic. Thank you very much !!!

Ren, our guide did an excellent job keeping us informed, entertained, and foremost safe! He took care of every detail in the most professional manner. I highly recommend this tour.
