With the help of a local host, you will discover the flavors of an authentic Spanish sangria, going through the traditional red wine sangria, the refreshing white wine sangria and the seductive cava sangria. In this class you will learn the secrets of its preparation, and most importantly, find the perfect balance in a pairing of wines and spirits.

What To Expect
We will start with a welcome glass of cava, then we will have a short introduction and we will get to work. During the class we will prepare 3 types of sangria, the traditional red wine sangria, white wine sangria and cava sangria. To do this, we will begin with the preparation of the fruit and citrus, the mixture of the different alcohols under our own recipe, then the wine or cava, and most importantly, we will seek the perfect balance to achieve an extraordinary sangria. For all this we must roll up our sleeves and get down to work. At the end, to enjoy our result, we will accompany the sangria with some tapas of local products to appreciate even more, the flavors of the different sangrias.

A glass of cava, tasting of the three types of sangria and tapas of cheese and sausages are included.

5.00The favorite part of our trip. Great guy Alvaro. He’s very personable and we had great conversation. He taught us how to make 3 different sangrias. All super delicious! Afterwards, he served us some bread, meats and cheese. Delicious! Cozy bar! Must do while in Barcelona!

5.00Alvaro, the man pictured, is phenomenal! He teaches 3 different types of sangria and how to adjust the recipe for different taste palates. He is patient, kind and knowledgeable. His bar is spotlessly clean which is important to me. I would highly recommend this class. It is located in the Gothic area so leave time to walk because the roads are very narrow and a taxi will not be able to drop you at the door.

5.00The class was fantastic! The bar has so much character and Alvaro was a great host, teacher, and bartender. We stayed for an extra drink after because we were having so much fun, and he gave us a very good dinner recommendation. Tip: he opens the bar right at the time the class starts, so don't be surprised to see it closed down if you show up 5-10 minutes early.
