The experience of getting to Lesotho through Sani Pass and seeing the beauty of the Maloti-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site is well worth it. Our guide on the Sani Pass, Elliot/Elias (I got confused as two others on the tour called him by different names), was really very knowledgeable, experienced on the road and amusing throughout, which made the arduous journey enjoyable. The tour operator at Underberg, Major Adventures, also prepared some additional cash for the guide just in case the border control required me to apply for another visa, which was a very thoughtful gesture to ensure I would be able to have a smooth and pleasant tour. Some other tours would stop by Pietermaritzburg on the way from Durban, which makes the transfer from/to Durban more interesting.

Another great experience. I was picked up privately from Duran and taken to underberg by an awesome driver who taught me so much about the zuku culture and took care of me. At Underberg I was met the the warm operator who set me up with a other driver who took care of me the rest of the day teaching me about the zulu and Lesotho. He helped me get great pictures and made the experience wonderful. Thank you for a great time.
