A vibrant route where art, identity, and community take center stage. We begin in the historic Quinta Normal Park and briefly visit the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, a meaningful introduction to the context behind much of Santiago’s urban expression. Then we dive into Yungay’s streets, transformed into open-air galleries. Powerful murals tell stories, we'll get to know the artists and learn about the locals. We explore iconic cultural corners like Pasaje Adriana Cousiño, and Pasaje Lucrecia Valdés, discovering heritage façades full of colo. The journey continues into energetic Barrio Brasil — a hub for alternative art, local stages, and creativity in motion. We finish at the bohemian Barrio Concha y Toro, a cinematic maze of curved streets and artistic soul.
With Roots & Routes, we create tourism with meaning — and we’ll recommend the best local art spaces, bites, and drinks so you can keep exploring Santiago’s creative heartbeat.

If you want to learn how past influences the present, and how politics is an undercurrent that is ever present in Chile book a tour with this wonderful bunch of people. Educative, diverse, and engaging - do yourself a favour and go with them, it’s much more than just looking at stuff.

Héctor was a very dedicated guide, committed to ensuring we get the most out of the tour even as we fell behind schedule. Although the rest of the group had to leave on time he stayed with us to ensure we could see all the pieces and even offered to show us the way to some additional sights of interest on his way home. All in all the tour was exactly what we were looking for - a little bit of culture, politics, history, & architecture and a whole lot of street art mixed throughout.

Hector have a great tour of the many artist murals in the barrio. He also took us to cool artist studios and coffee shops. He recounted the history of Santiago through the murals. Knowledgeable and fun.

Thanks you so much Hector for a very interesting and enlightening conversation and tour with you this morning. Such a beautiful historic neighbourhood to stroll around and you gave me many insights into life in Santiago and Chile. Unfortunately the maintenance at the Memory museum is taking longer than you expected and we were unable to go in however that meant we had more time to walk the streets and see so many gorgeous murals and buildings. Some very surprising viewpoints and streets. I am so glad o chose to do your tour and I wish you much success in your business. It was my joy to be shown into your world. As a political scientist you added much to my knowledge of Chile.
