Elton and Francisco guides us through the history of Cape Verde and told us everything about the banana, mango and coconut plantages. It was awesome to make the local CusCuz an Fidjós, witch was made vegan specially for us. They did a great job!

A timeless excursion that allows you to discover a house in the countryside, cook with a local granny and crisscross a banana plantation and observe a sample of the life of farm workers. Our guides were very friendly. Thanks to Nouria for her good French and to Elton for sharing his passion for his region with us with amazing exotic fruit tastings!

Incredible trip through the plantations, getting to find lots of fruits and meet locals. Elton was a superb tour guide who provided all the information and made the trip feel unique.

It is hard to say in words how happy I am of choosing Bu Country Tours to manage my time in Santiago island. I visited Cabo Verde for the first time and wanted to explore some islands. I came to Sal island and started to find possibilities to travel to other islands. It wasn’t so easy. And when I was almost getting to give up I found Bu Country Tours! The team who works there are simply AMAZING. I wrote and email to them on Saturday and on Sunday I was on my way to Santiago! Amazing speed, communication and care. They are taking care of you as a family member. All the time I was getting an updates on WhatsApp and this is so comfortable. Actually they treat me so well that I haven’t think about nothing. I had the most amazing experience in local family and hiking. My biggest THANKS for my amazing Guide Ailtom. He is so honest, funny and made my days so special here. I have a sensation that I spend 2 days with the long time no see friend. My highest recommendations for this team and the Guide Ailtom. Best of luck for everybody guys! I am already in love with the Santiago island and all of you. ♥️

We did 2 tours and we had a lot of fun with Maria and the drivers. We listened to local music, met locals and saw how to make the local cous cous. The Tarrafal beach is really beautiful. I had only wished for them to explain more about the island, traditions, culture during the long car drives from one place to the other, perhaps a good improvement point to flag. Nevertheless, I recommend their tours. Get ready for a full immersion with locals!

Thank you for the wonderful trip with the unforgettable experiences. We learned a lot of exciting information about Santiago and Cape Verde from our guide, we were able to admire the plantations, prepare and eat traditional corn cakes, explore the island and saw corners of Santiago that we would never have seen. We had a lot of fun and I can only recommend the tour to anyone.

We had a great time with the tour guide and the driver exploring the banana plantation and walking through the beautiful nature of Santiago Island. We loved it. The landscape of the Island is unique. Highly recommended!
