We had a fantastic day with Ignacio on our stopover. We arrived from Buenos Aires at 11 AM and Ignacio met us at the airport and delivered and interesting, fun and informative overview of Santiago. He was was very communicative and included our desires as well as included a surprise stop at what became my son's fave part of the day. Definitely a winner but be prepared to want to stay longer!

We had a 12 hour layover in Santiago city on the way to Argentina and decided to book this stopover as a way to spend our day outside of the airport. What a good decision! Our guide, Mauricio, had lots of great suggestions on things to see, neighborhoods to explore, and did a particularly good job of pointing out places of interest for when we would return to Santiago the following weekend. This tour is super convenient for a few reasons: (1) if you have luggage, you can store it in a van with you rather than leaving it at the somewhat-expensive left-luggage place at SCL; (2) you can get out and see the city; and (3) there is itinerary flexibility. I appreciated that we could make the itinerary whatever we wanted it to be. We ultimately ended up seeing both historic Santiago as well as just taking a hike around a particularly scenic hill before we settled in, but you could go hike up the side of a small mountain if you wanted, I bet. Otherwise, there's a van so you could do more sightseeing by vehicle. Bilingual guides make this very approachable for non-Spanish speakers and communication ahead of time via WhatsApp is excellent. We had plenty of time to spare to make our evening flight and had no issues whatsoever during our tour. Highly recommended!

Perfect customized layover Santiago sightseeing. Fernando was amazing and in the 5 hours I got to see a lot of the main sights and per my request the real local Santiago areas. Loved the vibe, the veg hot dog stop, the walking around the city was a perfect way to get a sense of Santiago. Best layover time spent. Thanks for customizing my trip ad making it an amazing experience. I give this service and double thumbs up and would highly recommend using Ignacio for Their Santiago tours.

We had a wonderful tour of Santiago with Ignacio. Our goal (in six hours...) was to leave with a real sense of the city, and that goal was realized and more. We drove, we walked, and we took the Metro to see beautiful parks, interesting neighborhoods, and historic sites. We stopped off for delicious coffee and had the opportunity to talk with Ignacio about his experiences. He is very knowledgeable, flexible with the itinerary - and fun to be with. We recommend this tour highly.

We had a very long layover in Santiago and this tour fit well. It was easy to find the spot to meet at the airport exit and the guide was very flexible with pickup and drop off times (planned from 2pm to 8pm). Fernando was a wonderful guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him. I enjoyed covering the main highlights of the city, and he did a great job of shortening the tour based on time constraints with our flight departure time. My only surprise was the distance that we walked, it was over 5 miles (over 8km). I am glad that I remembered to bring a change of clothes in my carry-on bag :). If you are not up for a long walk, please let them know and they can adjust the tour for you. We enjoyed visiting Santiago! When we come back with my husband, we will spend more time with the tour.

This tour was fabulous and completely worth every penny. Mauricio picked us up at our hotel in Valparaiso, carried our heavy suitcases out to his SUV, and safely drove us to Santiago. During the ride, he regaled us with stories about Valparaiso and Santiago. He had so much interesting information to offer. Once in Santiago, he took us to the most interesting sights in the city, the likes of which we’ve never seen: an amazing shopping/living village in the heart of the city (Mercado Urbano Tobalana); a gorgeous green space (Bicentennial Park) with colorful plants and trees and black-necked swans, and amazing views; an old fort on Santa Lucia Hill (which he graciously drove us up to the top of a hill which we’d never have been able to climb), and awesome diverse neighborhoods (including Lastarria and a very cool restaurant, and Italia - including a delicious lunch). We were sad when Mauricio had to drop us off at the airport to fly home. He was a pleasure to spend the day with. And the owner of City Trekking Guide, Ignacio, was so very accommodating. We highly recommend this tour, this company, and the guides they hire.

Fernando was a terrific guy and a great human being. We walked over 9 miles on this full day tour so you need to be reasonably fit for this one. Fernando shared his Chilean pride and soul with us and we could not be happier with the experience!
